The International 9-Ball Open

Too bad we don't have a pro player in the booth for the finals, so many good choices. Nap time with Danny D in there

After watching this tournament I think I'm finally sold. These racking and breaking rules are the best for pro 9 ball. The players must hit the break hard, there is no guaranteed ball on the break without a skillful shot, the cueball movement and patterns are more random, and with referee rack there is no fussing. I've really enjoyed it, and it's too bad we couldn't have a few tournaments like this per year in the US.

Yup, I love the winner breaks format here. Maybe there's no difference to who will win, but there sure is a lot more tension knowing that one player may not get back to the table.

Interesting situation: Ko made the 9 on the break and was about to move his score, but Ken stopped him and wanted to make sure it was a compliant break. It was, but I’d never seen that come up before.

11-10 Ko, with Chang breaking. Both players have made some uncharacteristic mistakes here in the latter stages of the match.
