I just searched fb for Mosconi Cup 2018 and the matchroom came right up.
 
We had Hatch, we had Filler, now it seems that it is Shaw`s year to behave like an a**hole.

Shane just played a really sloppy safety that might end up being the match decider for Shaw.
 
Shaw wins after Shane's sellout and starts yelling and jumping around like a lunatic. He looks like a moron but it's probably a good way to pump his team up.

Shane played 2 poor safety attempts and Shaw needs no extra help in any match he plays.

As for his crazy man jumping and yelling; I agree it's a bit much but I think Matchroom encourages it and he is an emotional fellow. :eek:
 
Yeah, he's just putting on a show, and it's not disturbing his opponent. No comparison to Earl's shenanigans.

It looks like Shane will be playing four consecutive matches over the two days. That has to be pretty rare for Mosconi Cup play.

I look at it like this, lets pretend I'm playing SVB at 9-Ball and lets pretend we play 3 sets, the first is on a hypothetical table with 10" pockets...the next is with 5" pockets and the final one with 3" pockets.

The first set I win the lag and the bookies make me the favourite. I run out the set without missing.

The second set (5" pockets), I win the lag again, but the bookies give me a 2% chance of winning...I miss a few and SVB comfortably wins.

The third set (3" pockets), I win the lag again, but the bookies give me a 0.5% chance of winning...we both miss a few, but I don't even get a rack.

The conditions are the same for both of us on all 3 tables, however his superior skill means I simply can not compete on tougher equipment, when the difficulty factor is taken away my inferior skill level is not shown up as much (which is why its important I win the lag in the scenario as if he had I wouldn't have got a shot).

Before anyone comments....I picked ridiculous made up pocket sizes just to emphasise the point!

Oddly...(according to Jason, based on that interview) its because apparently SVB was claiming he 'owned' Jason on social media!!

Sounds like his wife was winding him up to get him pumped up...but it did work!
