Obviously you don't play 1pocket.
Nothing finer than to absolutely torture a guy by repeatedly putting him in impossible spots. Freddy the Beard used to talk about the pure, unadulterated joy of it.
More to your point, expressions like getting a guy's "nose open" are part of the timeless jargon of the game, only meaning that the guy is on tilt.

I play one pocket more than any other game. It is the chess of pool and there is nothing more enjoyable than putting your opponent in impossible situations, which is what makes it like chess.
I can't fathom what that has to do with the core premise of this thread, which is to find someone who is weaker at the game than you are so you can beat them repeatedly and take as much of their money as possible. Why? Does it make them feel superior? Do they need the money?
If I have my choice of a game it is one pocket. If I have a choice of opponents I definitely want to play with someone better than me, not weaker than me. I love the challenge of playing someone better than me and figuring out how to beat them.
Plus I learn much more by paying against strong players than playing against weak players. What challenge is there to finding a weak player and repeatedly beating him?
I have zero interest in taking someone else's money. I have plenty of my own. I love the game and play every single day, BECAUSE I love the game.
