Gold Crown 1 Restoration Project Completed

Good day all,

I Just got done a few days ago with the Restoration of a 1962(?) Brunswick Gold Crown 1. It came in pieces of course, and was in dire need of a total restoration. So after about 3 months, I finally got her done and it's playing beautifully.

I see you share my taste in tables...but not my fear of color.

I'm retired and live in an over 55 active adult community. We have a game room with a Gold Crown 4 and two Brunswick drop pocket tables.

Your tournament blue GC is very nice indeed. I just always wanted a RED clothed GC. Nice to see more of them, and more Pool Tables in this thread in general.

While waiting for spring before I can empty more stuff out I decided to make some additions to the pool room.

A thread came up a while ago about custom scoring beads so I made this:

This shelf is just an idea for a future project, but I figured I might as well finish it.

Live a little man...break toward the windows!!!

Just kidding, nice looking set up...is a converted garage?

Sent from the future.

Yes it is a converted garage (It was already converted before I bought it). We just put a new floor, lights, wallboard and some paint to freshen it up a bit.

Just curious, what's the interest in RED cloth?

Favorite color has always been RED & saw a White GC Pool table many years ago that had RED felt on it, and thought then and still do think, it's the best looking color on a White GC pool table...IMHO.

It does look really good in that picture and that setting. And the wives seem happy to just sit around the corner and kill a few bottles of wine.

And I LOVE the uncovered windows. Combined with the red cloth, does it hear any better for the eyes?:nono:

Wtf?!?!

Very Nice!!

Here is my hangout.

While I like Diamonds as a good solid commercial table I have long been somewhat underwhelmed by their appearance. It's OK, but just OK. Not going to add to the decor if I put one in my living room.

This blacked out table is different. Not only would I happily put it in my living room, I could have done it with minimum flack from my ex. I like your table, I like your whole room. Looking good in the neighborhood!
