I saw this one on eBay and trying to figure out the joint which looks like it was doubled up.

A very interesting cue and nice design, imo, though that joint is a bit much for me.

I wonder was it added at a later time to make the cue longer or is that all original?

Not an expert on JWs but never seen one done anything like this.

RIP Bill.

Looks like an extension to me. strange.

Did you see the full description? It’s a lot of rambling, but seems to state someone broke the cue near the joint, and another cue maker repaired the break and added the second joint collar.

well hell, they do say reading is fundamental.

thank you for unlocking the mystery.

I should have taken more time, it's not like I have anywhere to go. :frown: :thumbup:

Knew it had been broken as soon as I saw it.

There is a Mobley for sale that has a ring below the joint that is guaranteed to have been broken - seller doesnt mention it though.

With those weird slots in the white ring? That cue keeps resurfacing

Too bad- it was a beautiful cue once that I don't like the way it looks now with a double ivory joint- just an odd way to do a repair IMO- just looks so weird to me now.
