· How old were you when you first started playing?

· How old were you when you began taking the game seriously?

· How old were you when you realized you became pretty good?

· How old are you now?

Got a Home Brunswick table in 1980
Took it seriously till I got married in 1998
Felt I was pretty good in 1990
Took the game up again in 2018
Finally feel like I have eclipsed my old speed now...

Saw "The Hustler" in 1961 at age 17. Took the game seriously at age 18 and realized that I was pretty good at age 21, after hitting maybe a million balls! ;)

I quit playing around 27 years old when I realized staying out all night playing pool and having a career didn't mesh then picked it up again around 42 years old.

I had the same situation.
But everyone in the pool room knew I had strict rule of I'm leaving at 11 PM no matter what on work nights.
I was a carpet store manager and didn't have to open the store until 10 AM.

I wish I started at 10am back then. It was my first professional sales gig selling advertising. I had the Northeast Territory which required I be in the office at 7am due to the time change.

Started at home on our table in the basement at probably 13

Never took it seriously, quit by the time I was 18, didnt have time for anything but racing.
Started playing again at 47 and took the game seriously ever since.

Still waiting to get good.
