Been mining RSB a little and found some VERY INTERESTING stuff to use in the Lou CTE video series. Regardless of the I said/you said about a match that was 8 years ago the after effect is that your play in that match will serve to bring even more people into CTE aiming. Hope you are alive to see this project come to fruition.

By the way, you are correct here when you say that it is dramatic how moving your head a little changes the perception and that doing that helped you to make a certain shot that you were having so much trouble with. Lots of good stuff to marry with examples of your performance as endorsements of visual intelligence and perceptions in aiming. I hope that you are pleased with the final product of this project but if you're pissed off I won't be unhappy about it.

Well, it's true. The Druids are acting up again.
We go through this a couple of times a year. All this hallelujah from the
Houlivatees, but not one, including The Big Houle hizself, can get on the NG
and explain diddly.
I thought one of the reasons we were here (other than to occasionally flame
the shit out of one another was to share and learn.
So where's the beef?
If you can't post it and put it to "peer review" you might as well take your

great, we will see if you stand by other things you have said. Amazing how things can look with a revisit. As for peer reviews, you're not a peer. The people who are well known instructors are Hal's peers and many of them have seen and written about the merits of what he was teaching. Some of them still teach his methods to this day. Many others have built their own methods based on his teachings. Some liked the idea of objective aiming so much that they discovered or created other objective aiming methods that work well.

One thing has not changed though, you're as much of a terrible person now as you were then.

Sounds like you have a problem with Cuetec and Allison then. Has nothing to do with this topic. I don't really remember Cuetecs being sold as low deflection when Allison was using them but if they were then that's between them and the consumers and Cuetec's competitors.

As for what you know or don't know I would say make a new thread and post your proof that something said in an advertisement isn't as described if it is important to you. If I can't claim that something is as described without some standard of proof that you select then you can't claim it isn't as described without providing proof either. Was Nelsie O'Hare lying about what she claims Efren showed her?

When Efren was in my shop spending an evening with us we asked him about what aiming method he uses if any and he said he wouldn't talk about it and that he would put it out later after he retires. What does that mean? I don't know. He could use something other than ghost ball, or nothing or something with edges or whatever, he just didn't want to talk about it. So having asked him I certainly wouldn't be able to say how Efren aims other than to say he didn't want to talk about it. That's first hand information. I don't make statements about what any specific pro does unless I hear it from that pro. I also don't have any reason to disbelieve a pro if they say they use some method of another.

I have been fortunate to meet and hang with many pros and have asked many of them about aiming. Some have revealed that they use objective aiming in some form or another. Others have been non-committal. None of them that I asked told me that they use ghost ball.

My point is that when a pro says they use CTE specifically then it seems that you and others here think that they professional player is deliberately lying. Is that your position?

From experience, I always found the people who have never fought or trained in fighting or in no shape to fight are the bravest or have the most bravado. I have seen many fights from people who have absolutely no business getting in fights . When I was in high school, I got into at least 3 fights . Had no clue what I was doing . Then in college, I became a boxing gym rat . Two of the boxers in our gym got world title shots . I mean real pros . If you've never seen pro boxers train, you wouldn't know how hard those fkkrs hit . And none of the boxers in my gym were bigger than lightweights ( except one pug named Allan Alegria who was in line to fight for Aaron Pryor's belt when he vacated it ) . Most were feathers and lighter because this was in the south of the Philippines. These fkkrs could freaking hit . A pro bantamweight could easily knock out a heavyweight on the street. Easily .
When I came here I hung around for a very short while at the old Westminster Boxing Club where Jackie McCoy trained his fighters back then.
There were a ton of Mexican monster fighting machines in that gym .

And oddly enough, I've never been in a fight since then . I walked away from so many fights I can't even count it .

Efren was at a common friend's house . His name is Alex. Used to own Stix Billiards before the pandemic shut him down .
Every time Efren was asked how to shoot a shot , he almost always points where the "patok" ( cue ball ) is supposed to be .
O'Hare can make all her claim that Efren told her there are only three shots in pool . But, I say she misunderstood him . Efren was talking about cue ball control. Straight or almost straight, angled shots and thin cuts .

One thread in particular where two "prolific" posters were busting my balls about aiming and backhand english reminded me that when I met them both in a tournament the following year I beat them both.

Both of them said that Hal's aiming and Backhand english were "dead ends" and yet, they both LOST to me. It's so cool to me to see that my words from 20 years ago are consistent and theirs are so inconsistent.

The amount of pure gold being found here is awesome. Using it going forward in conjunction with the promotion of Center to Edge aiming is looking great.
