Fixing the game of 9 ball.

As long as the rule is that you must hit the head ball on the break, why does the one ball have to be the head ball?

Change the rule so that the one ball must be randomly placed in different places in the rack.

Promote what? Pool has promotions all over the world, what it DON'T have is money by way of sponsorship!
some states are still shutdown or have indoor capacity restrictions

please promote its safe to play pool

my local government has been promoting it is unsafe to be indoors in capacity settings exceeding 25%

So I'm actually curious if anyone else did indeed try out cobra's '9' ball break scenario...?

My 10 ball break isn't very good so I was hoping someone would either confirm or deny my result back on post ~70 something...

Because you have to hit the lowest numbered ball first ?

And we could rack the 9-ball randomly as well, and require that it be spotted (maybe not always on the foot spot) if made on the break. I'm tired of the winning ball winding up within a few inches of the same location (the foot spot) game after game.

173 posts, and only 2 person has tried and commented on my rack suggestion, that's really informative!! Lots of chatter, yet no real feedback!!!

I read it and am not a fan of the idea. There's your feedback. Put the 9b on the spot and break from the box. Look at the MC break stats the year they did this. It worked. Why they changed again i have no clue. Probably some butthurt player whined. Like that would be a surprise.

Maybe dump the balls onto the table from a bucket and flip a coin to see who shoots first. Not a fan of the double cue ball super combo break shot.

Would you feel the same way if a major sponsors logo was on that cue ball and they were throwing 100's of thousands of dollars behind an advertising deal???

Through the years I’ve found that people generally don’t dive too deep for answers to stupid questions. Especially when it’s trying to fix something that isn’t broken. As you’ve said, pool just needs sponsors. And it will always be streamed. So what we need is more sponsors and more streams? WTF does your whacked break idea do to help achieve either of these goals? Answer- nothing.
