Some photos from the Ronnie v. Anthony match. What a thriller, the infamous double hill. Wow!

What a great match, but certainly sad to see Ronnie go out. Since he can't win it this year, I will probably root for

Judd
Lisowski
Kyren
Selby

Ronnie overthought the shot in the deciding frame where he lost position on the blue. He could have stunned across for the red in the middle but decided to screw back round it. He put some unwanted LHS on the cue ball and it checked off the cushion leaving only a long off straight red which he missed. I don’t want to second guess Ronnie but the stun was a much easier shot imo.

Here's a highlight reel. I think maybe Bingham should have played his shot -- I think he could have gotten safely on black.

As for Selby's shot, I hate it when I force my opponent to win.

Only two can become a first time champ....

We have a natural tendency to root for underdogs. However, at the same time I want to see the four best players in the semi finals and then two gladiators in the final.

Hoping for a Selby vs Trump/Robertson final going down to a deciding frame. Glad to see MCGill doing well but he’d lose by 10 frames to any of these three, McGill may win it all in a couple years but not he’s not ready yet.

Selby vs Trump would be great.

If an underdog were to win, I would say Kyren has the best shot. It's pretty remarkable how much he's improved. His ranking gets better every year, from 66th in 2014 to currently 6th.

I wonder if how Selby has run over Williams will deter players from adopting the 'behind the rack' break?

yea, usually when my horses are out of the race i can look at it objectively. trump vs selby would probably be the best final seeing it that way.

i don't think mcgill is that big of an underdog. he has definitely got a very good temperament, and a high pot success atm.

the pot success for both bingham and mcgill is incredibly high, 95%-97% i think. very positive snooker too, stephen hendry would approve.

i think the commentator in the Selby/Williams match said that Selby was at like a 97 or 98 pot success
