I think there were three problems with the shot. The cue ball was fairly close to the first cushion which makes the spin more critical. Also, on the Z pattern he had to deal with the slide on the second rail. Finally, the black was partly in the way of the two-rail contact.I thought it was interesting that Kyren just kept getting down and didn't seem like he was making any adjustments.
