Diamond arrived update

I think his pompoms just got in his eye while swinging them around, so he started posting half blind.

Could you imagine the flaming POS quality posts he would make if that inlay flaw was discovered on the new Predator (Sam) table...?....lol

The bias is other worldly...
I just wonder how he has time to work on "thousands of tables per year" when he spends so much time telling us how smart he is.

Is rk even allowed on Diamond property anymore?

He can $hit on a thread better than anyone. I hope the OP gets everything straightened out to their satisifaction.

I assume that the PRC being used to make the Diamond PRC tables is very similar to Richlite which is made in Tacoma, Washington or possibly Paperstone made in Hoquiam, Washington or perhaps another manufacturer. Its basically coloured recycled paper treated with phenolic resin compound (similar to what pool balls are made of) and compressed under heat and pressure to become extremely hard. When machined on a curve or off the horizontal plane or axis, the numerous paper edge layers show up and resemble wood grain. It can be polished and buffed out to be smooth and somewhat shiny. Otherwise it has a hard leathery type texture as in Epicurean cutting boards. The paper can be treated or coloured before the phenolic resin process, in Diamond’s case charcoal or black. It is used for numerous products including kitchen counter tops, skate board park surfaces, siding or panels, cutting boards etc. Gibson Guitars uses it for fingerboards to replace ebony wood.
It's paperstone.

The OP is happy, why aren't you? Why would Diamond not allow me to be on their property, I have a warehouse full of their tables at my shop in Spokane, WA!!! I deliver, work on, and fix other table mechanics screw up on Diamonds in a 4 state radius! I guess you have no idea what my relationship is with Diamond, do you!!!

And by the way, I work on other pool tables as well, I just don't go out to the bars and recover bar tables anymore like I use to, not at 64 years old. But I'll tell you this, my customer base is so long, I'll never get caught up!!! That means I'll NEVER be without work, unless I choose to be!!!

I should have called you when I was in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. Paddys has Diamonds but only one 9'er so I usually go to Black Diamond. They just installed some older Diamond but it plays well. There's some 1P there but not much.

Please don’t get me wrong. When I speak about Diamonds suckling it’s not from a design choice or build. They are for sure the most consistent built and playing tables hands down. However I think the cushion choice was a huge mistake. This Artemis cushions are too springy. It changes the game. Makes you want to stay off the rails. That’s game altering. Most individuals purchase these tables because they feel it will make them a better player if they play on what there local halls have or places they play tournaments or they see them in competition. It’s the best built table ever. Not a great playing table. ESPECIALLY the 7’. Shrinking the size and not compensating for speed makes for a VERY artificial table. ...
Diamond does compensate for speed on the smaller tables. Different cushions. Black Diamond on the 7' and 8', Artemis on the big tables.

I've seen dozens of threads on "How can I make my Brunswick play like a Diamond?" How many the other way around?

Thanks for confirming that RKC. With a little research, I knew it had to be one of these products. An excellent material indeed. And manufactured in your home state no less.
What i like about it, is that everytime Diamond sends a truck out to pick up a load of paperstone to take back the the factory, they drop a load of table off at my shop😁

That's a Frankenstein Diamond, the only thing Diamond about it is the rails, everything else is made up from 3 different kinds of tables. I rebuilt it for the previous owner about 7 years ago, and made all the different parts work together as one table😁

I know and I just shake my head. I have never played on a Bruswick bar box that I can recall. So I don’t know anything about that part. I have also seen threads on how to make there cues play different or how to make a 1968 Camaro handle like a 2020 Camaro. I shake my head at that also.

I have a diamond and the install went well. I cant imagine they won't make good on such an expensive piece of furnitire.

Here's the problem, everyone on AZB was already taking part in this conversation, and chastised Diamond, with all kinds of assumptions about what Diamond should do....IF they were an honorable company, and SHOULD stand behind their product....bla bla bla. YET, no one even took the time to inform DIAMOND that there was a problem, why is that? Why did Diamond have to find out on AZB FIRST, and not the customer? See, the problem, DIAMOND can't react as fast as AZB members can act, to knock DIAMOND, BERFOR Diamond even gets the chance to address the situation, and find out what happend in the first place!!!!

Did the OP reach out to AZB thinking someone on here would help address his concerns? Or did he think he needed to enlist the gang members on AZB to help put pressure on Diamond to address his concerns, because he didn't think they'd back up his purchase? My first thoughts were, if he had some concerns, why didn't he wait until Monday and contact Diamond directly, BEFORE posting on AZB? I know he reached out to Heath, the sales rep, but what's HE going to do on the weekend, Diamond's closed!!!

I wonder if yours is really inlayed or decal. Olhausen's are done well. I think they are done better in a cnc .
My old anniversary model has one diamond that sits below the rail, very annoying. You'd think they would make sure it was perfect on a table celebrating their 30th. No table is perfect but fit and finish matter if you're dropping big bucks.

I wonder how true that is when a person drops $5k on an anniversary with a disdained look, unrestored, and the rails not rebuilt, thinking, oh man, I just bought an Anniversary, my dream table....only to find out it plays like shit once its set up😅
