Diamond arrived update

Experience comes from having worked with the material at hand, not from looking at blown up pictures, which magnify what you can't really see with your eyes. Blow up the painted finish on a new car, and you'll really see what the paint flaws look like!!!
Oh yes, orange peel on new cars is brutal, but at least it's a uniform colour.

I haven't stood in front of the table in question so I can't comment on how obvious the flaws are. That said, they are bad enough that they were noticed during the inspection by the owner. That would mean that Diamond QA would have definitely seen it. Assuming those level of checks are done by QA and if they have QA process. Once again, several assumptions on my part, without any experience with working on PRC.

Ok cool... so you're suggesting the flaw around the inlay could have been fixed if QA caught it. However I am assuming Diamond has QA and that department does their job. I haven't worked with PRC material so maybe that assumption is unwarranted.
I'm saying, I don't give a s#%t how new, how sharp, at what rate of speed the CNC machine cuts out the inlays for the sights, because of the material used, minut chips are going to be visible if inspected under a microscopic, and I wouldn't even care if YOU did the job, you CAN'T change the character of the material being used!! Get it through your head!!

Show everyone the pictures of your pool table, let's see what kind of standards YOU settled for!!
Oh my table is crap. Gifted to me, and only assembled to keep the kids entertained during covid lockdowns. There's a handful of videos posted on the forum if you care enough to look.

I'm not in the market for a replacement, and if I was I wouldn't drop 10k on a table. Especially if I'm opening myself to lower standards then I think my money is deserving.

How many Diamond tables have you played on???

Point is, no working experience with the PRC material, means you're voicing your opinion without facts, and no matter how much you want your opinion to mean something, it ain't S%#T if you can't back it up with facts!!!
My opinion is that Diamond is responsible for flaws during the manufacturing process, not the dealers or table mechanics. Not entirely sure how my lack of working experience unvalidates that opinion, but I'll bow to your cheerleading on the matter.

So a crap pool table is good enough for your kids, gotcha, I guess they can look forward to a future of crap coming their way then!!

Agreed... no way you're going to get a perfectly clean surface with milling. Of course I haven't done the Diamond factory tour or worked with PRC, so my hours of working a mill, surface grinders, and hand scraping really shouldn't validate that opinion.

I at no time suggested that Diamond needs to change the charactistics of PRC to allow it to mill cleanly. Only that their QA should not have allowed an obvious flaw be released before being touched up in some fashion.

In terms of a pool table to play on...? ...yep they sure can.

Is it safe to assume we can count on your kids being ok with accepting piss poor quality for their hard earned money...?

My God man, how can you even live in a house, own a car, own ANYTHING in life, NOTHING you could ever buy would live up to your standards, not even your kids!!! Are you divorced, because my guess is you are!!!

Didn't look to be honest. Don't use sights, and they all had a lighter stain which wouldn't highlight such flaws, if they had any to begin with.
Really.....you mean you overlooked the flaws, or were you playing blind? With as nit-picking as you are, I find it hard to believe you would even have something in your house that you would consider to be crap, but I understand....crap is for your kids, perfection is for you only!

Here's something I want you to really read, and understand, ok!!!

The hardest jobs in the world, are made easy by all those that DON'T have to do them!!!!

Think about that for a while!!!!

Oh it's easy... all about compromise. That said, when I bought my new truck a handful of years ago, I expected flawless condition and did my best to ensure I got it. I respect my money, but I'm also willing to accept less than perfection if I go into the purchase not expecting it.

...and nope, still happily married. My kids are fantasic. Wish they'd clean their rooms without threatening to ground them though...lol

Didn't look for flaws because I wasn't going to purchase the table from the owner. That said, I found the rails on all of them played with a pinball machine.

Why do you think I'm being nit-picky..? There's an obvious manufacturing flaw on the OP's table that he bought new. That means the manufacturer either didn't catch it, or they're indifferent.

It's funny, I play on that garbage table more than anyone else. Never had a personal table prior to this one, mainly because I didn't think I'd use it. If I had the power of hindsight, I would have bought something long ago.

Boy, you're full of piss and vinegar tonight aren't you? Along with probably a half gallon of alcohol.

#1... I don't own it anymore. And I never said I would rather have this than a diamond you dumbass.
#2... it had k66 Championship cushions.
#3... it had 1 in slate, and no it wasn't properly backed. But I had no problems leveling them. Leveled frame first, then finished with shims in the proper places. No problems.
#4 On this one, I remember this slate being screwed down, but I don't remember if it was into the beams or not. I have pictures somewhere from when I set it up. But I do remember the laminated beams going all the way out to the end of the Slate.... both laterally and horizontally.

#5 the rails were bolted directly to the slate, so I consider that a plus. It did help with the playability

#6.. and last, and most important, go take your condescending , prepubescent ass back to the couch and crawl back in your bottle.
You can always tell based on his excessive use of emojis and exclamation points!!!!!!

I will hand it to RKC he is knowledgeable and a tireless advocate for Diamond Tables.

This situation is simple: The OP ordered a table and it was not delivered to his expectations and it needs to be corrected. It sounds like it will be which is great. How this is even a little bit arguable or excusable by some is beyond me
Because he bought it from a Canadian. That was the turning point.

I think his pompoms just got in his eye while swinging them around, so he started posting half blind.

Could you imagine the flaming POS quality posts he would make if that inlay flaw was discovered on the new Predator (Sam) table...?....lol

The bias is other worldly...
