Obviously those players got paid and signed away their rights to Matchroom. How Much latitude Matchroom has with that footage I do not know. But those players would get a huge amount of exposure to a new audience that they would never get on YouTube. Here's the problem, only one table is used to record on, and not all matches are saved afterwards, and they're still free to watch on YouTube, so who's going to turn around and start showing old matches on a paid streaming platform for free....oh, wait a minute, what about having to pay image rights to the players now....no chance of happening!!
Netflix don't want anything to do with live sports, no matter how good you think it would be.Obviously those players got paid and signed away their rights to Matchroom. Not sure what you mean about all the tables aren’t featured, matches for Mosconi only occur on one table.
If Matchroom moved their content, or at least let’s say the 2018 Mosconi Cup, to Netflix, they would pull all their matches down off of YouTube.
You don't simply move anything to Netflix, sorry. And Matchroom is a promoter, they ain't doing anything that don't put money in their pockets first, why would they? Are you even aware of the fact that they have streaming contacts with 14 different live streaming platforms around the world? They just signed an 8 year contract with DAZN for $92 million a year to provide them with content to sell THEIR subscribers, all pool related events included....yet they don't sponsor pool for shit!!Obviously those players got paid and signed away their rights to Matchroom. Stellar disputation.Maybe you time would be better spent help RKC, I am sure she would apprieciate your wealth of wisdom.
Lol. He's gonna use the internet to sell gambling coupons.Wrong again, no betting on pool is allowed in any casino, that included online wagering!!
Good luck with thatLol. He's gonna use the internet to sell gambling coupons.
Anyone who thinks gambling can help sponsor pool has no idea what they're talking about. When 2 of the biggest pool tournaments in the world are held in casino's, being DCC and the US Open 9B event, and you can't bet on a single match, IN A CASINO, that should tell you something!Lol. He's gonna use the internet to sell gambling coupons.
Netflix would produce an animated or live action series with a minor pool/room owner focus.Netflix don't want anything to do with live sports, no matter how good you think it would be.
yep... that the casion hasn't figured out a way to come out ahead on the wagers.and you can't bet on a single match, IN A CASINO, that should tell you something!
Are you familiar with how ratings work? Are you aware that Netflix will cancel a show, even if it has several million followers, if those followers don't balance with the cost of streaming and production?Netflix would produce an animated or live action series with a minor pool/room owner focus.
Think the show "Cheers" but for a global market as an adult show.
Think like an animated series that is really a show to advertise pool products, bar products, and billiards events.
Most animated series are just pro longed toy ads.
Wrong, with paramutual wagering, the casino can't lose a dime, and they get a take of everything bet, but it has to be legalized by the state first, and that hasn't been done in ANY state yet.yep... that the casion hasn't figured out a way to come out ahead on the wagers.
I'm guessing due to a lack of lobbying for such a change...? Most likely due to a lack of interest by those that may stand to make a buck...?Wrong, with paramutual wagering, the casino can't lose a dime, and they get a take of everything bet, but it has to be legalized by the state first, and that hasn't been done in ANY state yet.
Nope, the reason is, 1) not enough events held, 2) if you want to bet in Vegas, you must be inside the state line in order to place a bet, 3) pool hasn't been recognized as a paramutual wagering sport because it hasn't been brought up to the gambling commission for approval, because of lack of events, making it not worthwhile. 4) almost every state has laws against betting across state lines on the internet. Betting across state lines in Washington state, is a class C Felony, as with many other states.I'm guessing due to a lack of lobbying for such a change...? Most likely due to a lack of interest by those that may stand to make a buck...?
If gambling on pool was going to be lucrative for casinos then this would have happened by now.
I already have this problem worked out and I'm working on that solution.I'm guessing due to a lack of lobbying for such a change...? Most likely due to a lack of interest by those that may stand to make a buck...?

SD left some back doors open when they legalized their internet wagering, and my team is walking through those back doors right now.I'm guessing due to a lack of lobbying for such a change...? Most likely due to a lack of interest by those that may stand to make a buck...?

I thought regular odds were worked out (over time) on essentially the same basis though, driven by offsetting the bets on all sides.Wrong, with paramutual wagering, the casino can't lose a dime, and they get a take of everything bet, but it has to be legalized by the state first, and that hasn't been done in ANY state yet.
