BCA Hall of Fame

Be honest, you don't think some of the selections are too soon? Players who are still young and still completing. Most HOFs don't work like that.
The current minimum age for the BCA Hall of Fame is 40. Balukas was inducted at 26, which I think was a little young. I think 40 is fine, but 50 -- senior range? -- would also be reasonable. I don't think retirement from competition is a good requirement for pool.

So who is on the list/committee?

I know he's a tremendous player but just curious: what titles has he won?

Lou Figueroa

These are the titles on Thorsten Hohman's Wikipedia page.

I'm not sure if I'm now a voting member or not. I have voted in the past but I've been off and on as a voter.

Interesting idea.

Mike would not look out of place in the Hall of Fame as one of pool's greatest ever journalists, having supported the game through years of reporting and editorials and as a long-term positive force in the game. There is precedent for a writer having been inducted for the profound influence that his writings have had on pool. Two such cases are Walter Tevis, author of "The Hustler" and "The Color of Money," and Robert Byrne, who may just be pool's greatest ever author.
Stu needs to be in the HOF as the all
Time greatest rail bird. A new classification in the HOF. He’s absolutely the greatest of all time. I e seen him a million times in person and 5 million more front row center sweating the biggest most important matches for decades.

Now that I’m a rail bird I strongly urge the BCA to consider the Rail Bird annual
Inductee as a genuine member of the HOF. I certainly don’t deserve a spot in this. This is a selfless plug for other champion rail birds. I must admit I enjoy being a rail bird myself now days tho.

LOL, but thanks for the compliment.

As a regular attendee at pro pool events for 45 years now, I feel the game has given and given and given to me, and it owes me nothing. I know how lucky I have been to be able to watch the entire nine ball era up close and personal, and to mingle with so many event producers, tournament directors, referees, sponsors, instructors, commentators, writers, journalists, and pro players for decades now. They're the ones that make our sport tick, and as I often attend the BCA Hall of Fame dinners, I'm pleased to have the opportunity to cheer and applaud for all the inductees.

Mingling with my fellow railbirds is also a special treat, and yes, I've met more than a few over the years.

As others have mentioned, the list isn’t up to date. Mitch Laurence for example took himself off the list. Also, the living members of the HoF have a vote, and certain at-large industry folk are often asked to vote.

For the special voting for Meritorous Service and Veteran Player categories, there is a 5-person committee that will vote on the one person to present to the rest of the voters for a yay or nay.

Freddie <~~~ yay
