Here is one John made for me. Cocobolo cored with Purple Heart with a Sindora burl handle and three shafts.
I relate to this in a way..and I like stiff cues, too
the more I play, the more confident I am about pool in general
and can find comfort with many different cues
but by the same token, the more I play, the more I learn what I like/don't like
and if I have my druthers, I'll take that info., and apply it
I've hit balls with Tads, Southwests, One very expensive ebony/ivory possibly Bludworth, not sure. Those were so pricey I didn't even feel like holding them. I'm currently using a $200 sneaky which is the best I've ever shot with. That along with a Huebler sneaky a half dozen under $100 Asian cues - also the best I've ever shot with. Seriously I have no preference as long as they do what I'm shooting.

5grand for a plain no-veneer 4pt'r is pure insanity.
I was kinda hoping folks would post a pic of their favorite playing cue. A little cue porn on a Sunday morning is nice.
The best cue, to me anyway, is whatever i'm using to win $$ with at any given time. One of the best for me was a $30 pos fiberglass-coated Cuetec. Kept it in my car yr. round and won a lot with it. I've had FAR nicer cues that didn't come close in 'revenue generation'.

, I remember seeing one with a ivory handle. It weighed 26-27oz that cue didn’t hit too good. Was made from old cue balls. Rick wanted 9k for it in 91/92 as I recall.yours is wonderful thx for the pics
I’ll let you hit some balls with mine, you mite rethink that statement
but yes very expensive and worth it. Tony ain’t getting rich that for sure. He spends more money to build cues than anyon, as he says. I’m a great cue maker and horrible biz man. I won’t argue.
edit, anything made before 2010 is a different story, not so good. 2010 and newer-nice
That's the earliest I've heard of someone hollowing out a shaft. Do you remember the shaft diameter and the wall thickness?
