So ESPN can't find time for pool?

I think its clear to everyone you don't work for the Olympics, and of course everyone knows you don't have any decision making responsibilities for the Olympics, so, why the need to point out that you have nothing to do with the Olympics, but then throw in "but we'll see" into your conversation, why? Again, who cares? This is a pool forum, not the Olympics committee!!

Never said I did, why do you post what you do about nothing.

Read what you said in post 155? People who play pool also watch Olympics on TV. Winter & Summer Olympics.

Maybe the Pool player you hand with are shallow, single focused people.

Live, eat, sleep Pool 24 x 7 x 366, BTW leap year is 366 days.🤓
All you're doing is trying to cover your ass for trying to start another post about if Breakdancing is allowed in the Olympics, why not pool, stop with the sideways talking!!

Apa had 1000 viewers online yesterday for their 9 ball doubles championship finals match.
That’s great your getting those kind of numbers!💪💪

I’m always happy to see big numbers in pool. I’m not a knocker ever. Anything we can do I’m 100% behind. Leagues have saved pool IMO. It’s not my cup of tea but it sure has helped lots of rooms and people enjoy it. Everyone wins.

good luck out there

Those views or bot views?
I hope they are real views

I’d like to see the analytics dashboard for average watch times & IP logs to see how many unique users and verification that it’s not bots.

good start tho. Get the analytics

I have them😉

As much as we hate to say it, it needs to be said. Pool will NEVER be a thing on tv. It just won’t.
Sadly you are right.

it’s like watching chess, you can know how the pieces move but unless your a chess player your just watching pieces move-not understating it. Pools much the same balls rolling around for non players who can’t tell a easy shot from a hard shot. What’s a good move in chess? I don’t have a clue.

All sports that do succeed on tv you can understand with out being a player/participant. Cornhole is a perfect example, bag in the hole……sounds like basketball…….soccer…….American football.

Good analogy. Most casual players don't even know you can get the cue ball to do things. Seeing a pro get difficult pinpoint shape has no meaning to them, they think even they could shoot the shot the pro was left with. Who wants to watch an hour of lucky rolls and shots that require kindergarten level skill?

Even with televised golf, it's easier to understand what's going on for the casual viewer.

For the casual observer there is no drama in pool. For pool to be successful on TV it will need to be in different format.

They have successful shows where people buy abandoned storage rooms. Simply showing what was in the room and how much they paid for it doesnt do much for the audience. They build the show around peoples personalities and the drama of their interactions with other buyers.

Pool would need to do the same to be similarly successful.

The Ultimate Fighter did wonders for the UFC.
BCA or APA could follow that formula if they were looking for a catalyst to bump up the interest in pool.

There are A LOT of ways to watch pool out there...any sport really, I don't understand why you're relying on ESPN to provide you your pool content...

How about we get off the idea of pool being on TV, and focus more on pool being on its own streaming platform, Worldwide😉

Right now, as I type this, on ROKU channel 228 FTF (ForTheFans) there is a match. CSI Predator US Pro Billiard Series. Very good pool being played. Why does anyone give one single F* what ESPN is playing? Do you get upset that MTV no longer plays music videos?

Go where the content you want is.

I just saw a sandwich shop and a T Mobile ad, 20 seconds of advertisement and I'm back in the game. Waiting on ESPN is like waiting for the horse and buggy to make a mainstream comeback. Time to move on folks, abandon the networks that abandoned us first. New content delivery is the only way to make it profitable and not deal with red tape and overhead.
