Surprise surprise about about Pool in MSM.šŸ‘

Self employment only for proactive, self starters, and people motivated.

Many people pick the right company, or public sector job with good pay, great retirement, post retirement medical, dental, optical, prescription plan.

Do their time, retire, and have it pretty good.

Yup. I see people all the time who went to the military right at 18. By 38-43 they are coming back to grad school with an undergraduate degree already paid for while they were in, they have a GI bill to blow now they are out and they have a retirement with health benefits. They are trying to figure out what they want to do for fun for the rest of their life.

But they were the ones who made good of bad situations like being in 29 Palms or some other undesirable place for 2-4 years. They had 20 year plan and stuck too it.

Another friend was on Submarines 20 years. His job nuclear reactor operator. Retired and when to private Nuclear sector. Did another 15 years, first job was 4 times Navy pay. Guy is set for life. Two pensions.

Let's just hope we all get to live long enough to enjoy some retirement....

WOW! A five figure income... Impressive. No one is asking you to go back to pool. In fact, I'll go ahead and politely request that you never go back.
You must just be jealous as hell of me, that's ok, when you get older you'll start to understand things more clearly!

Now for you, I'd consider playing some 14.1 with you if you had the balls to bet enough!

The pros today would kick the ass of the pros in the 80's and down . Even if they claim they moved the ball better .
Please ! The pros today shoot straighter because they almost all have perfect form and do insane drills .
I have yet to see anyone who plays One Pocket like Ronnie Allen did. His knowledge of playing balls off the pack and moving multiple balls toward his hole is still unmatched today. And his multiple rail kicking ability is also rarely seen anymore by the current crop of players. Bottom line, you don't know what you don't know. Plus there is no One Pocket player today who would have had a chance against Efren at his peak. Efren's cue ball control, especially in tight quarters, was something to behold. And his unique ability to open up clusters of balls in just the right way to continue his run outs. Fortunately we have a lot of it available on video. Not so with Ronnie. Even in his World One Pocket Challenge match with Danny Diliberto, there are only glimpses of what Ronnie used to do on a regular basis.

I work with this guy:

Super nice guy, and I don't know how good he was, all he said was that he used to compete as a pro in trickshot tourneys...

We played 8 ball for a few hours on an old gold crown. Ended up about even...he may be a ball better ,just due to he shoots very straight. He is ranked as an SL 7 in APA.
I like it. Some are pretty standard shots and there are some that require a good stroke to execute. EVERYTHING is edited, just like in movies and on TV. So don't knock a trickshooter that doesn't show you his out takes!

It’s amusing for me to look at you guys argue about people you don’t even know. I know all these guys and I ain’t sayin’ shit. How about those apples.

Christ this is retarded. Take another dose
Ha Ha. This thread sounds like a bunch of kids on a street corner talking about who's is bigger.

Hello all,

I'm the guy in the video. I usually don't bother addressing these things because over the years I've learned that there is very little to be gained when arguing about pool. For a community that constantly complains that pool is dying, ya'll love to throw rocks at those trying to bring some interest to the game. Yes, I'm garbage at regular pool. Yes, I cut out the hundreds of misses in my videos. Except for a few thousand people worldwide, this game is not a job, but a hobby, and it's the same thing for me. I work full time and record videos for fun on weekends when I have time. Should there be some opportunities to do this full-time maybe I'll go for them but seeing keyboard op-ed warriors talk smack about some of the trick shot players like Florian or Massey is hilarious. In terms of bringing interest and getting eyeballs on the game, I'd argue that Florian is probably the best thing that happen to pool in the last 10 years. As for me, I'm just gonna keep playing, recording trick shots and hopefully growing a community that is more interested in having fun playing pool than counting the cents in someone else's pocket.
