SVB to Kick Off High Run Attempts

I've already said the rails were redone because the table was in storage for a long time and never claimed they were "factory pockets."

Lou Figueroa
I've been reading your posts for almost 20 years on here. I always thought your posts were pretty enjoyable to read. This whole thing has completely changed my perspective. You spent 2 years shitting on JS. Now you did everything you claimed he did, and more. And you deny it every step of the way, with bullshit wording. I think you're a flat out liar now.

Bullshit, the picture posted showing the pocket opening being 5" was posted to show the pockets were factory pockets, and have been referred to as FACTORY pockets. And just because new cushions have been installed, that DON'T change the pocket openings! You know EXACTLY what I'm talking about with the throat of the pockets being widened in order to make the pockets even bigger buckets, and LESS chance of rattling a ball being pocketed. I've asked you several times now for the throat measurements with the calipers you used to measure the mouth of the pocket with, or at least a picture of 2 balls in the throat of the pocket just to prove the fact that the pockets have been altered, but no one in your camp is willing to admit that the pockets have been altered.

Thats my problem with your circus act pool table, as least be honest about it, instead if trying to portray it as something that it's NOT!

Please show me where I ever said they were factory pockets.

Show me were I disparaged JS.

If, as you say, I did it for two years you should be able to come up with lots of quotes in which I'm "shitting on JS", no?

Lou Figueroa
thanks for being a 20 year fan
sorry to see you go

What was the purpose of showing the pocket being measured?

Well, at least the last time I posted them it was because Dan asked if any specs about the table had been posted -- so I posted up a photo of the table and the caliper photo of a corner pocket with the mystery hands. But to more directly answer your question, here is the post in which I originally posted the photo in question. As I think most people can figure out, it was just to announce the event was getting close to starting:

More importantly, did you glue or staple? And if you did glue what kind of glue? The overpriced save the pool glue or just good glue?

Yes, seriously, the joke is on you because you didn't think anyone would catch onto the altered pocket openings and that all you had to do was show they were 5"
Ok genius. You have spoke of the throat of the pockets meaning the back of the pockets not the mouth of the pockets. What are the measurements suppose to be at the back of the pockets on a stock Gold Crown 3?

What did Lou do? He posted just about everything about the table including pictures. JS has not shown any pictures or videos at all for anyone to see the exact table conditions he played on. Im I correct or please correct me where you have seen any video or any pictures anywhere that are shown of the table JS played on. If you have some pictures from JS table please post them and compare to the table we are using. Thanks for your time. Have a nice day.

We used live spitting cobras venom for the glue for the felt to adhere to the slate and some old rusty drywall screws instead of staples.

If only there was some sort of global standard for equipment specs for pool....
Oh wait:

Snooker has had this issue sorted for decades. Clear specs as well and Pocket templates...
Easy to ratify 147's on professional equipment or any other record for that matter.

All this 58 page thread shows me is why pool is rarely on TV, has tiny sponsors and is nowhere near Snooker as a career with decent prize money.

It also seems to be full of people trying to rip each other off and promoters, associations, tournament organisors playing the big man monopoly card in a tiny little shallow pond.

Real shame.
This is a great game.

I mean we accepted 526 on an 8 foot table as a record for like half a century. I’m not sure why the pockets in this event has become so controversial. The equipment didn’t matter then but now it does?

Maybe this is why Johns table was dismantled lol. I didn’t care about the pockets on his table and I don’t on this one. This is a high run exhibition not a 14.1 tournament.

The same people that made an issue and made accusations of JS manipulating the table the high run record was set on have now gaffed up the table to attempt high runs on.

Most people dont care about the table specs, just the blatant hypocrisy.

This is false information. We have been transparent about our table and showed pictures and live video. Now where is any of this from John's table? Who know his pockets could have been 3 5 inches or 6 inches. Please know facts

Except the main reason for this event is to get someone, ANYONE, to set a NEW high run record to go in the record books, on a one of a kind pool table with secret pocket opening dimensions, that way it cuts down the chances of missing a ball being pocketed.

If the table is actually designed to help the player make balls, it actually discredits the players high run, that's the point!

What high run?
JS high run?
No pictures no proof?

Glen what are the measurements of a Gold Crown 3 where the picket meet the rail cloth. You called it the throat of the pocket. Please inform all of us your opinion or your 39 years experience to this measurement. Thanks
