More Sad News About Larry Nevel

I do not know his complete medical condition, but if his immune system is compromised, he would not be a candidate for a bypass. I know his medical condition has been fragile for sometime now, sad to say.

If the pool community can come together and raise over $150,000 for Jeannette Lee, I sure do hope we can come together and raise $10,000 for Larry Nevel can fulfill his bucket list of eating a Philly cheesesteak, going to Sea World, and seeing some sights in California in the last 6 months of his life. If anybody was worthy of a little compassion, it is this guy. If the thousands of people who know Larry contributed $1 or $2, he might fulfill his last wishes. I hope he does.

Karl Boyes sent me a private message this morning and said he's going to try to raise some funds at the Mosconi Cup for Larry by selling a Mosconi Cup souvenir. How cool is that!? He remembers Larry from the IPT. It warms my heart that our brethren on the other side of the pond cares enough about Larry to help him. I've become a huge fan of Karl in recent years, even before this kind gesture.

I'm so sorry to see this..
I don't know larry except what an incredible pool player he is, but I've always felt a good sense about him
and I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to help larry hang around..
but in the meantime I'm glad to donate some

jennie, you posted a very nice comment on his page and thanks for letting us know that the bigger pool community is in touch
thoughtful of karl to reach out the way he did..I hope they raise a lot for larry

No anchors to tie the bypass into is usually why a bypass isn’t possible. My friend passed because of this. I don’t know about Larry specifically but in general that’s the reason. Nothing can be done when the anchors are gone or not structurally capable of holding the bypass. Sucks

Normally in old days they took large Veins from Legs to replace bad pipes
(Arteries)

Four Artery Bypass was not uncommon.

I just tried to send money using that email at Paypal it took LNevel but when I put in 74 it didn't recognize that. Can someone help me figure this out , I don't want to sign up for go fund but I will be happy to use Paypal Or if I have his address I will send a check

Update, it worked with Pay Pal thanks Jam and Middle of nowhere for help.

In the email it shows a dot after .com be sure if you are copying and pasting you don't have that dot there it is not part of the email address.

Definitely should be no "dot" after "com." That is a period ending the sentence and not the proverbial "dot." :giggle:

I will try to contact Larry and find out about that gmail address. In fact, I will send a message through LNevel74@gmail.com and see if I get a response too.

As I have been born and bred in Philly, I belong to a cheesesteak group on FB.
One of the members of the group ( a pretty sporty one pocket player) mentioned this and Larry's wish for a cheesesteak is being taken care of by the group to the best of my knowledge through Goldbelly.

Wow! I am very excited to see the pool community come together and donate to Larry's bucket list. It's truly not the amount that is donated that matters, but rather, it's the thought and and love we throw his way. Many pro players have donated to his GoFundMe page as well as social shooters, league players, and railbirds like me. To Magic Chalk and the Philly people, you guys rock!

That would be cool for anyone in the area. Heck, auction of that jersey he's wearing and sign it and he will get quite a few bidders? Put me down for $500.
