If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t hesitate taking Europe and risking 3X as much to lose as to win.The Euro books i just checked all have the U.S. at basically 3/1 underdogs. What does everyone think here?? Who 'ya like for your $$?
I agree on the short sets. Not so much on the luck. It is a factor but at this level of play not so much. Who wins the safety battles will win it.Short races help underdogs. Add in the luck portion of 9-ball and it seems like anything could happen.
It is best of 21, sets to 5. The winner has to win at least 55 games and it might be over 80. That is not a short race.Short races help underdogs. ...
Pretty damn close. Most of the books i looked at had the U.S. getting to 6 or 7.Idk about -300, I’d guess that’s a good opening line. We are big dogs-keeping it real, not a knock, just a fact.
I think the line for number of points team USA scores is 6
I sure hope we win or at least make a strong showing. JJ has his hands full, but he’s super strong at being a captain. He did great in bonus ball.
Of course having Earl there sure adds a layer of “interesting” to this years Mcup. And of course I sure hope Earl is the best version of Earl there is. I know first hand-he’s ready.
Buckle up and enjoy,
Fatboy
Gun to my head 6.5 was my number. But since I’m not betting or booking it & being I didn’t want to put a ½ line out for talking about,Pretty damn close. Most of the books i looked at had the U.S. getting to 6 or 7.
While I agree with everything you say. And I really do. Also add in alt break. Sounds like any set can be anyones set. And that’s correct.Short races help underdogs. Add in the luck portion of 9-ball and it seems like anything could happen.
Read my post above this one.I agree on the short sets. Not so much on the luck. It is a factor but at this level of play not so much. Who wins the safety battles will win it.
No matter how many times people say this about alternate break it will never make it true. Alternate break does not ever change how often you will win against somebody. What it does do is change the average amount of games you will win/lose by (how close the scores look on paper) which in turn understandably makes people incorrectly assume it must also be changing how often you win/lose as well. It doesn't.While I agree with everything you say. And I really do. Also add in alt break. Sounds like any set can be anyones set. And that’s correct.
While the format speaks to random outcomes because of short races, alt breaks, and the other reasons it’s format favors the weaker player as it equalizes things for players of different skills.
The only thing I would bet on is that Earl will self destruct at some point in the proceedings. He can't help himself.
DAZN is the streamer in the US. IIRC '17 was last yr for ESPN3Anybody know if ESPN3 will be broadcasting the MC this year?
Thanks. Do you happen to know if DAZN allows you watch matches after they've concluded? I may not be able to watch liveDAZN is the streamer in the US. IIRC '17 was last yr for ESPN3
Think so. That was asked somewhere else on AZ. Pretty sure they replay it.Thanks. Do you happen to know if DAZN allows you watch matches after they've concluded? I may not be able to watch live
Per several people, it looks like they replay it, at least for a bit.Do you happen to know if DAZN allows you watch matches after they've concluded? I may not be able to watch live
