Corey Deuel's amazing 8 Ball runout

Don't you all just love Monday morning quarterbacks? Not a single one of you could have done better on that layout.
Bunch of champions here.

8ball can be pretty easy.
Sometimes you are forced to just get out, knowing your opponent has it easy if you leave only a few balls.

This was a ridiculous out.

While I agree with that statement, my point was toward those that thought they had to point out everything he did "wrong". Apparently it was right. He got out and that's all that counts. And did it in VERY TIGHT QUARTERS.
Not to mention the score was 20-19 in a race to 21. He doesn't get out and it could be over!

Here is Melling's out. His first shot, alone, is better than anything Corey played in his out.

That's a shot I don't know if Corey deuel himself could even seen, I mean maybe but
And the speed at which Chris recognized that shot goes is just as impressive
Asinine shot

Full last game

I just noticed the red thing on Corey's cue. What is that? Never seen somebody shoot with whatever that is

Would you have been able to make either run out (or even see the shots) on the first try at the table in a tournament?
In a tournament:

Melling's - no.
Corey's - probably not. His first and third shot are pretty standard shots on that equipment so I'd probably make them. The second, very unlikely. the fourth, maybe but probably not.

As a set up:

Corey's - yes, after x attempts.
Melling's - after x + 200 tries I would give it up as a thankless task.

It's a great run out, but comparisons to Melling's are still ridiculous. As another poster said, let's enjoy a great run out for what it is. Awesome and sick are certainly appropriate adjectives.

Comparing Corey deuel to an apa 5
I compared the run out to something someone pulls off in a pool hall every Friday night. I'm not comparing him to a 5, I'm comparing the run out.

If you play enough league you would understand that you can sit there and watch someone string together a few lower percentage shots occasionally. Especially in APA.
