Corey Deuel's amazing 8 Ball runout

I compared the run out to something someone pulls off in a pool hall every Friday night. I'm not comparing him to a 5, I'm comparing the run out.

If you play enough league you would understand that you can sit there and watch someone string together a few lower percentage shots occasionally. Especially in APA.

I play league 3 nights a week apa and bca
Haven't seen a 5 pull a back cut bank
zbank
a Carom and a tough a combo in a single rack

Even on our bucket sized pockets here in the great state!

The 5 is just a reference for someone who knows how to stroke decently and knows enough to slam the ball around and go for more percentage shots thinking that's the right shot.

I'm my local league the 5s don't play safeties and go for everything. My local pool trap has plenty of tables so it's just a matter of "if you buy enough lottery tickets you'll win" scenario.

Anywho, the thread is comparing Corey to Chris. I honestly don't think Corey's run is anything special at all. Is it low percentage? Yes. Is that run out up there on my top list? Not even close.

I just noticed the red thing on Corey's cue. What is that? Never seen somebody shoot with whatever that is
I've seen something similar. I think Jennifer Barretta was rep'ing something like it at one point, but I thought it was for the break shot.

I Haven't seen 7s, 650s ,320s , 3s
Anyone slam home an out like that.
You must have a pretty strong league in your area

Can you please post your top ten list?

I think all of us has pulled off at least one of these shots, some most of these shots. He was chasing the cue ball around the table because he didnt really have a shot to get his cue ball in line. The other night in league I had 2 similar shots in 1 game, my inning opened with a kick bank in the side because my opponent played safe then after a few "regular" shots I had to play an 8 ball that was about 5-6 inches off of the cushion rail first because I suck at cue ball control and hooked myself.

What is remarkable is that he pulled off all of them in the same rack- bank, double bank, combo, carom.

Highly unlikely any league player could pull off all of them in the same rack

What is the supposed benefit of it?
Not entirely sure. Never used one. That said, I think it basically mimicks the glassy feel of a glove/CF combo. So in essence it allows you to death grip a closed bridge but experience a total lack of skin induced skidding as you stroke.

I agree with the other members for the most part when comparing Chris's and Corey's runout. Chris looked like Houdini getting out of a submerged, locked up box compared to this out by Deuel... I'd give Melling a 10 and Deuel a 6.. JMO!!
