merry Xmas y'all!

I so want an obituary like this. Basically just an eff-off. If people know me they don't need the obituary, if they don't know me it's too late.

I'll die without an heir, so there'll be a lawyer in charge of throwing a huge party.
I don't know I found out information about my grandpa in his obituary that I didn't know, like the fact he had a sister in England who was a duchess

The newspapers, to save money, fired all their obit editors, way back. Remember when the obits were written in readable language? For some, it was the first thing they read. It got folks to buy a paper.

Looking back, those decisions sucked for the newspapers.

Um, not to be argumentative but you CAN do that with babies too.

I don't get asked to babysit very often.

So an expecting father is waiting in the waiting room for the doctor to come out with his new baby! The doctor strolls out of the door and the door closes and smacks his arm and the baby goes flying in the air and lands on the ground, the doctor hurriedly runs over to pick it up and then accidently kicks the baby down the hall. The husband jumps up and says "What the hell is wrong with you!?" Doctor replies...

It's ok, it was already dead.

I chose to write an unconventional obituary when my Mother passed. She was unconventional, and I'm not sure why people detail all that stuff about someone's life in a long obituary. I agree; if they know you, then they know what they know. If not, what difference does it make, (Exceptions might be public figures.)

I supplied two pictures, one of her in her early 20s and one in her early 80s. Gosh, she aged well; much better than her son. I added this brief narrative and had it published in the paper.
