Wanted: Pills to make you quit trading cues.

I've got a sweet kikel that'll keep u going. Quittings not an option. Lol

No pills but I got a Searing Sneaky Pete I'm getting ready to sell or trade. Come on man just one more it won't hurt you.
Well, I know Searing cues get premium price but I just can't justify the price for what you get. I have had over 80 customs over 30 years. Right now I have a brand new Larry Vigus cue that I think is the most perfect cue I have ever had. That includes $4500 cues like Tim Scruggs and Bill Schick. This Vigus is machined more accurate than any cue I have seen. I built cues for 20 years and know what to look for.

I prefer to play with a SW pacifier or a TS sneaky Pete. Those are the best two playng cues for my money. Searing is sold and shipped already.

Honestly I have never fallen in love with the playability of any cue that i have had valued over 3000

My problem right now is I'm trying to sell some cues to raise funds but I am buying faster than selling.

I have an old cue that I built. Prather made the points for me and I think they did not cure the wood properly because the prong warped. I recut the butt and got most of the warp out I still have the cue. I put a Tung oil finish on it because I built it for myself and I don't like hard finishes if I build a cue myself. I like the water proofing of tung oil and how it ages the cue. Gives the cue a unique look. Anyway, I built the shafts as laminated wood and 1.25" blind bored ferrules Ivory with Triangle tips. That combination gave me the hit that I love.

Will the tung oil seal over MOP inlays? Also will it build up enough to match the thickness of a polyurethane? I really like the satin Finish of tung oil as well.

The tung oil will build up thickness the more you put on. It will seal over the inlays as well. Bill Hendricks had a Burton Spain that was tung oiled and the finish was just beautiful. I remember that cue as well.

The pill for me was unemployment when I was laid off in 2006. Had 20 or so cues and had to sell them all. Still have the pictures, though.
