Good job! I'm right behind you. I played 9 ball yesterday and ran 8.4 balls.I just ran my personal best 84 playing straight pool! I don’t play often, but I do enjoy it. My run ended when I got too straight on my key ball, which left me super thin on my break ball. I’m going to keep practicing and get that hundo.

TAOM. My previous record was from when I was a Master chalk user. What kind of chalk were you using?
Just kidding, congrats!
That’s great.i have been trying to play straights now also. It can be frustrating on my Diamond. Being a strong player in other games does not mean much in 14.1.
My cloth is pretty broken in now on my Diamond. Nothing will “slide” in off the rails. I ran <20 probably 10 times today. That’s great.i have been trying to play straights now also. It can be frustrating on my Diamond. Being a strong player in other games does not mean much in 14.1.
840! That's awesome! You are the current world record holder!I just ran my personal best 840 playing straight pool!

Practice and competition will do it. Watching great players helps you learn and inspires you to try a game that can really piss you off. 84 is not far from 100 and that is strong. You know how to get better, the thing people HATE PRACTICE.
I just bought a new set of balls and I am betting I will play much better. I could have polished the other set because they are not that old, skids cannot be tolerated playing straight pool.My cloth is pretty broken in now on my Diamond. Nothing will “slide” in off the rails. I ran <20 probably 10 times today.
That's about my speed.Good job! I'm right behind you. I played 9 ball yesterday and ran 8.4 balls.
That's bold. What was your previous higj run?I just ran my personal best 84 playing straight pool! I don’t play often, but I do enjoy it. My run ended when I got too straight on my key ball, which left me super thin on my break ball. I’m going to keep practicing and get that hundo.

I like that idea. I play "Fargo" in practice where you run 10 consecutive racks of 15 balls - 1 point for each ball made in any order, or 2 points for each ball at the point where you switch to making them in rotation. So 300 points maximum. It adds an intensity that you don't usually get without an opponent. That's about my speed.
I lately have been playing that game Alan Hopkins talked about, or your rack off 15 ball and shoot them in any order, then the last five have to be made in rotation. It's pretty damn cool game and I swear to God I can't run a full rack.
And I tried for 8.4 days. Freaky!

66 from about 10 years ago. I’ve probably only played 10-20 times since then. That's bold. What was your previous higj run?
