I don't normally watch 9-ball but I might have to tune in this weekend to watch this unfold. No one has ever swept a major three event all-around tournament. A couple of players have won 2 of 3 -- including Mark Tadd in LA in I think 1992, who won Banks and 9-ball but lost in the One Pocket finals to Steve Cook. Since then I think Justin Hall has come close, and Alex and maybe Shane also at different major all around events.
But this year at DCC with Fedor looks like the best chance for that feat to be accomplished, for the first time in 60 years of all around events, featuring the greatest players over those 60 years!!! Yes, I will be following this, even though it is down to the 9-ball!!!
I realize Derby also hosts their Big Foot 10-ball tournament (which Gorst finished 2nd in) , but the Banks, One Pocket and 9-Ball are still the 3 anchor all around disciplines.
