I recall vaguely I think one year I was there, that Sullivan or someone at Diamond said they would or did adjust the point structure so that if any player won two disciplines, they would be guaranteed MOT, even if they lost the first round of the third discipline and did not buy back. (provided they enter all 3, as if they don’t, automatically disqualified from MOT consideration). This was maybe 10 years ago. Does anyone remember similar?

That doesn't really make sense as a 1,1,100 wouldn't be as good as a 2,2,1 in my book.
