I’m assuming this is some sort of modern(synthetic) Cortland

I found this at a thrift shop awhile ago. It measures .027.

Can't answer your question but if you post it in the Ask The Cuemaker section I'll bet they will know.

Looks like Tuff Line/Cortlandt or Gudebrod, Greenspot, Braided Dacron, I have spools of it for fishing. It's very low stretch, some claim 2%.
I'm not sure of the gauge, could be 130 lb test, I grew up using it.
It's also hollow which allows you to splice loops, and single monofilament line leaders. Basically like chinese fingers, it becomes one continuous line, no knots.
I wrapped a Frank Paradise Titleist with 36 lb green spot, it was horrible.

I guess there are significant differences such as, one is braided and the other twisted, so one is hollow and one not. Then combine the different process of manufacturer described in another thread and one can understand the cost of getting an original Cortland wrap on a cue.. Supply and demand!

I did lots of bluefin fishing as a kid in Gloucester along with every other fish swimming in the North Atlantic.. I might reach out to some of my childhood friends and ask them to be on the lookout, if there is any around it is most likely in fishing towns along the coast hidden away in some old antique store you'd never suspect! Or in someones basement on a shelf. Used to dig for antique bottles in the burn pits there. Back in the days before trash collections everyone had a burn pit for trash behind their homes. You can dig through them and find all sorts of cool stuff. Got several crockery soda bottles from the 1800's along with lots of other collectible glass bottles that way..
