Nicest pros?

I'm glad to hear that. I almost added him to my naughty list. We played in Phoenix last year and during the couple of hours we were together he did nothing but non-stop self promotion. Telling me how good he was as an instructor, telling the wait staff how good he was at restaurant management, etc.
I can tell you on a personal level...Paul is a great guy. As an instructor he's world class. It's shame that he rubbed you the wrong way. Some people don't like Pineapples on their pizza. It's just a matter of taste.

LOL - I know exactly what you mean. Every single pro out there has an ego and sometimes they don't stay in check. For some pro's they are never in check :)

It would an interesting poll among the pro's themselves as to who they would vote for Mr/Ms Congeniality.

Karen Corr. Very kind, low key and friendly. She asked me to play a challenge round that others were paying for at a grand reopening of a pool hall in Herndon, VA. I was sitting next to her small table when she asked. I had my cues locked in my car, but she said just use one of hers! Obviously a short game, but a highlight for me in my amateur billiards life. Also got a large signed photo and my pix with her! I have crossed paths with her since when she plays in the NE women's regionals in MD or VA. Took dozens of incognito photos for/of them during their matches. Met other nice pro ladies who were taking a break in the audience seating area while I was at the Superbilliards Expos in PA. Friendly chats all around. Made my days and trips worthwhile.

Jersey Red was like that also.

I can’t believe no has said Brandon Shuff . Of course Oscar and Omar . A guy from 10-15 years ago Adam smith from Detroit. I’ve met a fair amount. Also Alex P
Pags is super cool. We play high stakes backgammon, long sessions. Super cool guy.

Most pros are nice guys. Not everyone likes everyone. But the list of dicks is lots shorter than cool guys.

And yes TK is a super nice guy.

The only one I've ever really talked to was Tony Chohan at a tournament while he was on a smoke break. Seemed like a really genuine dude who loved the game. Just an honestly good dude with a very sharp mind.
Yea he is. Your judgment is good. I know him well, have always liked him since we met. 15-16 years ago.

Ralph, Alex, Nick, Keith...got to give a shout out to Tom Rossman also. Women got to give a shout out to Vivian the texas tornado.

Yeah I forgot about Tom Rossman. Nice guy. He jumped a ball into my wife's small shoe from 20'. I played him a game of 8 ball too. I had him beat and dogged it.

Jeanette , Massey, SvB, Jasmin, Corr, Ralf, Rossman are all laid back & chill.

On the flipside... -v-v-v

Not sure if my opinion of Strickland is unanimous, but that guys kinda of a prick on & off the table.😁

Seems like you are. If the new posters don't know who he is, then who cares what they think about him?
Yeah, I cackled at the HV crack.
….but I suspect Harriman got some unjust flack….I heard it was something like taking a leak in a public park and a woman and her young daughter walked by.
I had a friend who was playing poker at a stag that got busted….there was a live sex show going on in another room…they all got a $10 fine.….. but it showed up on his record as a sex charge.

Tough call. Alex Pagulyan, Nick Varner and Alison Fisher. Buddy Hall should be mentioned too. I've met a lot of them, These are my three favorites.

I’ve heard that about Danny. But I’ve also heard a much worse version from someone who claimed to know the real story.

Of today's pros, Tony Robles belongs on anybody's list. So, for that matter, does Omar Al Shaheen.
I second the motion on tony robles. By the way sjm is that you I always see
in the front row at all the pro tournaments. If it is you congrats, you don't
seem to miss many

Max Eberle is pretty cool. He's friendly and approachable. Good guy for the game.

He played some guy recently, local player Jhaycee Cabal, strong player. I believe Max gave him the 9 ball playing 10 ball race to 15. The guy ran just about every single rack and was up 10 zip on Max! Max held his composure and in the end lost 15-13 or 15-12 I believe. Talk about holding it together. He showed alot of heart.
