Open table, your shot which ball will you pocket first THEN....what's your cue ball movement plan for your next shot???

I don't think it matters which suit one chooses.

A pro is running out and a hack will make it entertaining.

9 first then attempting to come to center table for 12 and 14 then back to 11, then 10, then 8 in bottom right.
I am assuming that the 8 will not go in upper right corner and even if it does it doesnt make sense to me to try for such tight position in the upper right hand pocket when there is such an obvious road map to put in right lower pocket.

I'd shoot the 9 and take off the stripes at that end first for starters. Come down for the other two and roll in the 8b top or bottom right depending on how good i get. I'm a keyboard runout-artist. ;)

Stop shot on the 9, stop shot 11 to the bottom left, follow the 15 to bottom right for position on the 14, played to bottom left, and go around the 7/2 for position on the 10, top right and play the eight in the same pocket as the 15.

That's my first, quick thought.

I am terrible at pattern recognition. But knowing me and my limited abilities, I would take the low hanging fruit of the 9 ball with a stop shot to bring the 11 ball back up to the corner. In other words, I would take care of the 9, 11, 10 on that side of the table. ( Assuming the 8 ball will go into t he corner by the 5)

Howdy All;

If 9 is blocking the 3 then I'd shoot the 10 to upper right bring CB up towards center table.

Stripes have been detailed so if solids, 7 using the 2 to catch the ball. If the 2 lies in position to get to the 4/purple, do that and play for 6 in the side. I think this is key for solids as it is otherwise obstructing the 8. If the 2 is off angle, then 6 first then 2, 4/purple or 4/purple, 2 whichever way works. From there either 5, 1, 3, 8 or whatever combination of those are most likely. (I'm assuming the one goes clean.)

There's one opening shot that's not been discussed.
Shoot the 10.
Cue it with high 1 o'clock inside spin, come two rails out, clippin' the 8 - 5.
If yah miss it, you still have shape on two other balls.

Fast one 371 had the right choice.
Here's why.
Your close to your work.
Shooter has a huge draw position zone.
He's straight in.
Player is stretched out, not encumbered by other balls.
The first shot Shape to those lower stripes, wins this game.

Judging by the picture the runout should be particularly easy on this table as it appears to be the rather unusual 40" x 40" model. I think I have heard about them but I have not actually seen one in person yet, cant wait to play on one though. :):)
