Consistency in shafts with firm, dead-center strikes on cue ball?

Yeah it says right in there you get more spin with LD. If you hit the cue ball in the same spot with a non LD and LD shaft the cue ball will spin more with the LD. But you can hit farther off center non LD to get same spin. That’s what I read. And believe it or not that has to do with deflection in the ms the tip touches cb.
A tiny bit more at certain offsets but none that you can notice in actual use. Also not more total spin. I've owned at least six different ld shafts and i get get same amount of spin as with solid maple. The amount of spin difference is very small. You can't tell this difference without hi-speed cameras. LD shafts increased accuracy with spin is the reason for their being.

I'm wondering too. I googled it and did not see what I expected.
Sometimes it would be useful to turn off everything in searches that happened in the last ten years. Or even make the last ten years go away. But I digress....

I always knew that Finnegan was a good for nothing.

Here’s a simple spin effect test that convinced me - shoot a bunch of these with different shafts and compare results:

1. Use a striped ball as your “cue ball” with the stripe vertical and aligned with the shot.

2. Shoot the “cue ball” from either spot (head or foot) straight into the side rail (at the middle diamond) with maximum sidespin. Check the chalk mark to confirm you hit right on the edge of the stripe - only count the shots that you did.

3. Shoot just hard enough so the ball rebounds to the near side rail.

4. How far to the side did it rebound?

When I had a “home” table (Diamond) I consistently got 3 diamonds of crosstable angle change (about 37°) no matter the cue.

I have to ask, what is a "black beauty twitch?"
Brings to mind my second wife.

Oh, you said "twitch"...
