A Few CTE Questions

I’m saying that he never had one excuse while we were playing. I’m not sure what his best game is but I do know I’ve gotten better since we played.
Of course we will probably never know how good your best game is. Only one person that I know of has seen you actually play, but it was a long time ago and you have admitted you rarely leave the house to play

Spider knows thats not true even if he won't say it here.
With the little sidetrack that went on last month I saw and learned a different side going on that was positive.
However, when it comes to CTE and or Stan, there's a Jekyll and Hyde that overtakes you and there seems to be no
stopping it. If there was some positive that could be said about it, I don't know what it would be or where you you'd
apply it. Then there's the thought you might have which is "how is PJ going to accept what I said and what will the
others say." You really are deeply committed to its downfall and demise. This is something I wouldn't mind being
wrong about at all. The future is up to you one way or another.

Dan will never get over the arguments he had with Stan when Stan was posting here. You can see it in his Stan this and Stan that, constant postings from him

How good someone plays at the highest level
I. say doesn`t matter 😱
its teaching a beginner/intermediate
someone that has a dependable stroke
how quickly will they be better at pocketing balls?
winning has way more to it than pocketing a ball
jmho

True. But often when playing sets gambling with relatively even players it comes down to made the 3or 4 shots to decide the match

Why is this so difficult? Hal invented CTE and taught it to people in pool halls. If it were all it's cracked up to be it would be the standard way to play by now, but it isn't.
I don't know when the last time you were in a pool room was but pool rooms are full of players who are ignorant of very basic and accepted methods. I now own another room and I can bet high that most of the players in my room can't name five prominent instructors or pass a basic quiz on pool physics.

Your logic is severely flawed. It assumes that people in pool rooms want to learn how to play better pool.

They don't. They want to play pool not learn how to play pool.

Aiming is but one, and a relatively minor one, of many skills needed to play at a high level. Aiming is not high on my list of things I need to work on. When your stroke is true aiming magically becomes far easier. What does that tell you? I don't use poolology much because I already know when most shots are on. Poolology is a learning tool. I don't underline every word in a book with my finger as I read, either. My reading skill developed beyond a need for that.
Aiming is a minor skill? Ok then let's distort your vision and see how you do.

What is one reason might a person have a poor stroke? Bad aiming.

Objective aiming helps to cut through visual acuity issues and allows the shooter to get aligned accurately. For those who don't have any visual acuity issues objective aiming makes them that much more accurate and confident in the chosen shot line.

The automobile took over the horse and carriage in less time than it takes to learn CTE. Once revolutionary ideas catch on they spread quickly... if they work.

Brian had lots of excuses for his relatively poor play and I tend to think they are true. He's clearly saying he didn't give you his normal game and you are dismissing that.

Oh, the horror. I'm lucky if I string together 3 balls.

My interest was in your take on CTE but you didn't want to talk about that. I took your advice on shishkebab to see what would come of it but ultimately aiming a different way is not a priority for me.

The only thing he said was he might have played better if there was money on the line. But hey, I might have also. I’ve never given my true feelings about the match. I like Brian. We had a good time playing pool and I agreed to let him do the write up. Enough said. You are posting things that you have no idea about, AGAIN.

Yea don’t want to take away from your time on Az. I guess the last two days blows away your claim that you only post here occasionally

Read through this thread and see who is throwing around the bulk of the insults. 90% of the posts to me are insults and 90% of mine are about the topic being discussed and that makes me the bad guy?
You’ve more then earned the right to be insulted with your constant stupid posting. And yes “ innocent Dan” never insults anyone. Go ahead and read the last few pages, I’ll bet Dan doesn’t hurl one insult lmao

I'm posting about the things Brian said on this forum. He obviously wasn't feeling right for various reasons but he was also careful not to take away from your win, as it should be. You won fair and square but that does not mean you saw Brian at his normal speed.
