Searching for solution for my rails problem.

The future is gonna be weird:

Dad: Bobby what are you dong?
Bobby: I'm downloading my pool table
Dad: How does that work
Bobby: I download this picture and then print it in the 3d printer.
Dad: Well get off the damn computer, I got something to download
(Dad gets on computer and starts searching porn....)

Bobby: Dad, I already did that, just check my closet and pick one of them....

LMAO you won't be 3D printing rails my friend.
I bet he could likely do some cool covers for the outer surfaces, like a veneer. Then what the rail structure looks like would be a non-issue...as inthe wood wouldn't need to be top grade.

Run away man before you spend a year on this and end up with a pile of parts. Craigslist has free or $300 tables all the time. Whatever you end up building won’t be any better.

I have had a full woodworking shop since I was a teenager as my hobby, and you couldn’t pay me to build a pool table.

Not likely, 3D printer work cubes are too small. Mine is large but will only print 16.5 inches in length, not nearly enough for a rail section length and that printer cost $6,000. The cost and time would be astronomical vs applying a laminate material.

You can 3D print pocket skirts! I ran into issues with the cloth pocket skirt method so I 3D printed the skirts in black nylon. @realkingcobra dig it, all 6 pocket skirts stapled/installed in under 10 minutes!

He just likes showing off to me because he knows I can't even write in print, let alone know where the power switch is to even turn that damn machine on!! I tell him about my French fold way of finishing the pockets and he 10x ups me with THIS bs!🤑
😅🤣😂😅🤣😂

To measure the corner pocket radius for the skirt...I went through my pots and pans lids until I found one the same size.

That’s nice. I wonder if it will hold up from the ball bouncing up into it.
