John Schmidt- live 14.1

He had the balls racked higher than normal so he could see the break ball. Any straight pool players know if this is ok or not?
Most intense 14.1 would be losing their mind that he doesn't have the triangle outline on cloth.

Shifting the rack around to see a break ball is an absolute disregard for the game imo. The whole point is to get correct shape on the break ball to continue the run.

I'm amazed John even bothered accepting that rack.

Yeah this is akin to placing the black on the edge of the spot in snooker to get bit more (or less) angle.

Well maybe whomever spliced his 626 run together can work their magic and move that dot a little further up when it is time to make the video. 🤣

Shaw says he can run 1000.
Shaw on pocket size of John's table "You could put Chris Melling in one of those buckets"
I think Shaw is exaggerating. I could not fit Chris Melling in one of those buckets.

wow.

these pockets look ok

shaw’s 714 happened on a table with
pockets that looked so fake and awful that
i can’t watch it
(good on shaw, well done 714)

i like watching pool but that isn’t realistic

and they said they were gonna invite many
world champions to play for a long, long time

and suddenly the table was dismantled
and we get a -

it’s not our fault it was a decision of the
room owner excuse?

John's runs (in chronological order) of 100 or more balls on the Gold Crown table with 4 7/8" corners:

Wed. 5/18/22 (attempts for about 6.1 hours) -- 170, 199, 154, 186, 224
Thu. 5/19/22 (attempts for about 5.5 hours) -- 103, 106, 140, 192, 238
Fri. 5/20/22 (attempts for about 9.5 hours) -- 117, 346 (questionable racking at 322), 294, 196, 181, 120, 112, 294

he took away my respect for his trying to best anyone. its obvious he let the rack be manipulated.
if all the high run players are going to use some kind of an edge to win then its just cheating.

then these high run attempts are just for entertainment with no value on setting any kind of record.

Controversial racking

I'd love to see John run several hundo, but not with this approach to racking process.
So far the high run seems to be 346, yet controversial.
That's blatant cheating! This is why I prefer tables to have a rack outline, because not only can you move the rack forward to backward in order to cheat, you can also tilt the rack for more subtle effects, especially if the break ball is close to the rack.

John Schmidt just murdered his own credibility. I don't care about anything he does now.
