An extra slice of American cheese? You could probably trade it but you will have to give some weight
This can happen from time to time.
These smaller comps then tend to have, you win it twice in 1 month. You can't enter for 2 weeks, which is fine.
Don't apologise for being good at anything.
Don't lay down for people either.
Let them improve or not.
Sometimes you're stuck in an area with weak players, it happens.
Sounds like you've got a mixture of strong players though and get weight elsewhere - this TD just sounds a sore loser to me and one that could not put in any measures at all to reduce a regular winner to give them a timeout.
Who let's it go for 21 weeks without saying a thing and then dropping the hammer, the guy sounds like a loser to me.
there was/ is a road player routinely running over tournaments and this rule came up, but after one night of 4 players leaving upon seeing he was playing they just went ahead and banned him, driving away moneyAll agree with our rule that if you win two weeks in a row, you have to take a week or two break.
It’s cool you guys are having fun and supporting pool/bar. That’s the main thing.I play in a small local bar tournament. It is a mix of bar bangers and league players. Nobody worries about ratings. We just play for fun and to support the bar. We play league rules and no handicapping. Many of the old school guys that used to piss and moan every time they saw us play league rules now enjoy playing either way. Even got a couple to join the league. This is not a big money deal. It's just a bunch of locals getting together for some fun, a little challenge, and some beer money. If the same guy came in and won every week, many would probably stop participating.

When I was young I was the favorite at many amateur events and If I could win it pretty much every time, I would only show up about once a month instead of wearing out my welcome. If I lost then I would come until I won it and stay away for a month or so. You milked that cow until it got sore.Tourney organizers texted me and asked me not to come back cause I won the tourney 17 times out of 21 according to them ( had no idea they kept track ). I know I'm supposed to feel honored for being kicked out for being too good but I'm pissed. The wording implied I was a piece of sht for stealing and they got tired of it. It wasn't a sweet message at all. First of all it's an amateur tourney. I'm under 700! 100% not a pro. Nowhere near pro speed actually. Nobody would even call me a semi-pro. It just happens to be tourney packed with weak players. Not my fault. I told the organizers to make it handicap they turned that down. The tournament director has never won his own tourney I think that's what this is about. Or is he right? Where is the cutoff? Is it valid for me to be pissed? Now I'm thinking about all these other small tourneys I win and worry I'm gonna get similar texts. And no I don't only do small tourneys I gamble with monsters ( I get weight! ) and enter larger tourneys where I have no chance. I donate plenty myself. Whose side are you on? I have two friends who've gotten banned from tourneys and they both said it's normal welcome to the club. First time this ever happened to me. It's not even about the money, I have friends at those tourneys it's like I'm getting removed from a social scene for working my ass off.

It's never been about the money for me, I do pretty well for myself. Also, I've known a lot of the top Phoenix players for years before I even moved here.
Exactly! Handicap yourself, play off-handed at most events. Buy drinks and tip the workers good. Give back to the bar and community. Give good advice when folks ask for it.In my experience, if you were asked to not return, there are likely other factors. Maybe it is because you didn't tip the TD, in which case eff him. It is a practice I agree with, but not always. I'm usually friends with the TD after a few tourneys and it gets awkward to offer friends cash. They get booze, tho. So do a lot of my opponents.
The bigger thing that you should have realized long ago is that leisure activities are still transactional. If people aren't having fun, they will leave, or in this case, remove the reason they aren't having fun.
If you want a chance at being allowed to be at a tourney and winning almost always, you need to pay for it somehow. Be the nicest, humblest guy there. Show up early and buy a few drinks for people. Stay late and play scotch doubles. Root for the nicest bad player and take a genuine interest in his game. Take a week off every month and ask who won while you were gone, buy that dude a drink and talk to him about the win.
As Simon and Garfunkel said, 'keep the customer satisfied.'

OH LORD......Norma Rae over here....Tell everyone you know how you were treated, and organize a boycott of the venue.
Should not be penalized for winning frequently.

If you've won 17/21 times, you're way too good for the tournament. This is no fault of your own. They could handicap it, put a bounty on you (like $100 for beating you and make it into a fun experience). It would be a lot of extra work for a director to accommodate you. I'd just take it as a no hard feelings but you're too good for the group they are courting. It would be like a high school basketball player going to play the kids in the elementary school for their lunch money after school.Tourney organizers texted me and asked me not to come back cause I won the tourney 17 times out of 21 according to them ( had no idea they kept track ). Your strategy was all wrong. This tourney was too easy, and you viewed it as free money. Come on? 17 out of 21. With that in mind, to not get kicked out you should have taken some 2nds, 3rds, and 4ths....spread the wealth a bit while still making some money on your investment. You don't slaughter the lambs...you sheer them. You've got to feed a fish. He definitely doesn't have a hustler's mindset. He's just a strong competitor and enjoys the thrill of the kill apparently, and not the money. I wouldn't be insulting with him...just an opportunity and experience to learn from. Note: The BEST hustler I ever knew made more money gambling at strictly pool a year than most pros, and this guy was barely a C+ player....but an A+++ hustler.I agree with this 100%.
The OP could be a dickhead for crushing the competition because he is competitive and good. At the same time it is just a game and no need to crush the field. He is not good at spreading the wealth.
Now if the OP wasn't a dickhead and a hustler then he did something wrong. He crushed the competition and got kicked out when he could have lost a few tourneys to keep everyone happy while also taking money from them too.
Failed on every level.
