My brother and I we're looking for a 9-foot table. At first we tried to get an AMF Grand Prix. It would be an acceptable table for home use, but for some reason the guy stopped responding to us. So I sent a message to Trent McRichie.

He made us a GREAT deal on a Gold Crown 3. We went up last Sunday and loaded her up. And we played some pool!

I've never played one pocket before, but he got me playing a few games of it. I got to tell you, I rather like it! I can see myself getting hooked on it.

Trent is an outstanding, God loving individual. Great to do business with... and just hang out with!

Be forewarned.... I think at one point in his life, he must have taken a trip to Ireland and kissed the Blarney Stone! He has the gift of gab! Lol

Hey Trent..... next time I'm in Toledo, I'll get ahold of you to play some more One Pocket!

Hope to meet more of you AZ'ers in person someday.

Brian,

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate you and your brothers business & time playing pool. I did the best I could for you guys on the table "as is". I usually do not sell them like that, but, I cannot say no to a fellow player and AZB'R in need! I can't wait to come down and see it all set up and play pool on it. Give me some lead time to make sure I can be available for your next time in Toledo, I will be sure to chit chat less and play more pool!!
God Bless You!

No you wont, but it's the thought that counts! Lol

It was good to meet you.
HAHAHA! It was our first meeting, just make sure you have plenty of time to play. I like the 3 to 5 hour sessions. Play sets and get a good workout. You are a good player, I will surely learn a lot from you. :)

I’ve been lucky and met loads of people from AZB, all good guys. Despite all the bullshit and arguing here, AZB has introduced me to so many great people all over the world in pool. Can’t put a price on that.

What if an AZer got married? Kill two birds with one stone?
A lot of things would change. No more late night pool playing. No more sleeping in the car waiting for the pool room to open. No more card games, and hanging out at the bar after the matches. No more throwing away money sweating the matches.

Yep, she'd have to give up all that.

All the best,
WW

Toledo is closer to Detroit than Columbus but I have been to both for work, I may need to try to get time to head south a bit next time I'm in Michigan. I have met a few members on here during my travels.

Although it will take a lot of cajoling to get me to play one pocket, that game is just not for me.

Give me a heads up!! I would love to shoot some 8 9 10 or one pocket! Miscue is my home room and I restored all their GC3's!! My home table!

I got the pool time. Food, drinks & service are very good there :)

That actually happened on the big forum "off-topic" many years ago. I am not even sure that place is running still but it was huge...at least 30 categories...many meetings and gatherings in real life happened there.

There was an Austin Chapter that was pretty active...fun group. Dinners...bar trips... Random hookups etc. There were many users with more posts than Sev...lol it was actually pretty much out of hand most of the time hahaha.

There was a Miscue pool hall in Florida I went to, had some scary looking tables.

They do look scary!!! If Wes Burden worked on them: they likely play great!
Robertson tables has a model that looks like a Brunswick Anniversary and they play quite well, at least the ones I have played on in the Tampa area and Wes is the only real mechanic in the entire state of Florida that I have found.

Thanks for sharing your story. I've met dozens of AZBers over the years and most of them are great people who really know their pool.
I have also met quite a few from my pool table business and so far so good! Its great to meet new people through business and become friends.

People sometimes come across differently or are perceived in a different light on here. INFLECTION in digital communication can be hard to display and also to receive. I am the same person on here, at work and at home: its pretty much a take it or leave it type of deal with me. I am a work in progress and have good & bad days: GOD IS HELPING ME BE BETTER EVERY DAY!

AZBHOUSEPRO has helped me a lot through the years and most of it via "tolerance", also good advice and I appreciate his perspective because he is a hard working dude. He has a lot of years of experience with dealing with pool players!!! Most of you that have helped me as well.

I know that we all share a love for pool on here and we all can get worked up or caught up in some drama on here sometimes. I am working hard to stay out of that!!!
