The manual says "reassembly is the reverse of disassembly." That's like saying building a house is the opposite of blowing it up with dynamite.Always get reminded of a friend that built about ten thousand transmissions for AAMCO. He was going to teach me how to rebuild transmissions. He zips out six little bolts with his air tool and pulls the front pump off. Then reaches in with some snap ring pliers and takes a couple snap rings loose. Next he grabs with both hands and drops seemed like hundreds of parts and components on the table. He looked at me and said "it goes back together just like it came apart."
"Uummm, Jimmy I think you will be rebuilding this one!" I think it got simpler after the first five thousand or so!

I used to be on a very international mailing list back in the day. In the evenings it became a real time chat room. We were talking away about across the course rifles and shooting matches when one guy posts, "Back in five minutes, going blow a fag." That brought the conversation to a screeching halt. I knew what he had meant but none of us that understood said a mumbling word!
Miss the days of shooting across the course and long range. Started out with a Garand, got loaned a national match M14, upgraded to a CMP service rifle, and finished up with a space gun and bolt action chambered in 240NMC. Never made high-master, but least one score above 770 a summer. Cleaned 600 couple times. Never could get over 196 on standing. Never made it to Camp Perry either. Eyes don't allow me to see the front site anymore. Best just give me a shot gun in a battle. Some of these welded sculptures are pure amazing. I like the chromed ones to put out in the sunlight. Something else I enjoy, what did they salvage for pieces? A suzuki motorcycle was a major donor, kinda cheapens the whole project. The eye is great! The motorcycle exhaust flare ears work great too.

When he got back he said, "Guys I see I need to explain something ..."

I live about 40 min South of Camp Perry. The Garand Match is fun. I will say the Rimfire Match is a lot of fun too.Miss the days of shooting across the course and long range. I used to participate in the Spokesman Review postal league in the late 90s-~2003 and shot lot of indoor smallbore and occasional 100 yard prone small bore. I had gotten a partial case of federal UM1B from a collegiate shooter that changed rifles and this ammo was no good for him. I used it with a Remington 513T and shot a 1196-36x. Very rare day that I've never been able to recreate. The range was shaded, no wind, no mirage, and humidly was "perfect". I swear you could see the round through the peep travel downrange to the target.I live about 40 min South of Camp Perry. The Garand Match is fun. I will say the Rimfire Match is a lot of fun too.
