Does that apply to table level as wellno offense brother but if you admit to not knowing one table from another you just might not be the guy to do a table review. just sayin.

in his "defense" he did say it rolled off. I would guess the pocket plays differently than a tight GC4?? Predator table has a deeper slate shelf???no offense brother but if you admit to not knowing one table from another you just might not be the guy to do a table review. just sayin.
the fact it may/may not roll-off is not a table issue but a set-up issue.in his "defense" he did say it rolled off. I would guess the pocket plays differently than a tight GC4?? Predator table has a deeper slate shelf???

And does that not go back to the table mechanic that sets it up?the fact it may/may not roll-off is not a table issue but a set-up issue.
None taken.no offense brother but if you admit to not knowing one table from another you just might not be the guy to do a table review. just sayin.
All good. Almost always interesting, regardless of forum type.Don't be discouraged, TipWilson. Internet interactions are often interesting.
I appreciate your input. Never take anything personally and you'll be just fine.
Oh nice! I'm guessing you developed the proper skin thickness many years ago.All good. Almost always interesting, regardless of forum type.

I should have looked closer but I didn't think they looked like Diamonds but was taking the word of the one that posted it as he's seen them in person. I've only seen Diamond Professional or GC4's in pictures never in person .Those are all GC4’s plus the Predator.

Who would buy a bunch of them with out testing them? Not me. I would have one in a room for minimum one cloth change. Have to see how it plays and how it holds up to commercial use. It is a new product and is barely available yet. I don't think anyone has labeled it a "great table". I am hopeful it is solid and helps our industry grow. Predator is a big name and known for quality. If the Predator was a great table don't you think Oscar would have more than one lone one in the back of his room? I believe Oscar is also a Pred. dealer.
Good point about having one table but why would you hide it in the back of the room. I've also heard comments from players there about disliking this table. Apparently some of the wooden parts are particle board, not positive on this, just what I was told.Who would buy a bunch of them with out testing them? Not me. i msg'd SAM about this and they said rails are solid wood. don't have any idea what may be pb, possibly slate backers.Good point about having one table but why would you hide it in the back of the room. Fair enough, wasn't sure about that one. Thanks for checkingi msg'd SAM about this and they said rails are solid wood. don't have any idea what may be pb, possibly slate backers.
It could be in the skirts or legs?i msg'd SAM about this and they said rails are solid wood. don't have any idea what may be pb, possibly slate backers.
don't think pb would be in either one. possible but i doubt it. from pics i've seen the legs are metal with a skirt wrapped over them. i think the skirts are some kind of laminate as in the rail tops. i msg'd Pred with some questions. Post when i hear back from them.It could be in the skirts or legs?
The aprons could be particle board with laminate on top.
Personally, I would prefer solid wood. The first time a mechanic drops one on a corner, it will get damaged.True, and nothing wrong with using it for aprons. A decent laminate on both sides makes a very stable panel that will be less prone to scratches. PB isn't a bad material, there are bad uses of PB.
