The Legends of Pocket Billiards table has been moved into a private room at Street Lights Billiard Academy. A GC4 has been setup and we will now have two cameras rolling to record the action. Jayson's attempts will be streamed live and free, August 22-26, for 12-14 hours a day.

i would rather see a guy with a day job gambling in one pocket, nine ball ... ect without a backer ... heart and courage .... i dont even know why people pay for the 14.1 world record video (doesnt people have other things to do?) .... i mean that is what he does ... plays pool all day long every day ...

Takes a lot of focus to play pool all day long every day.
So does 14.1 take a lot of focus.
One of the toughest games there is.
I mean all you have to do is call your pocket.
How easy can it get?
No problem running a 100 right?

He should have made enough by now from the video sales to dump that table and buy a Diamond. THEN he could set a standard for the rest of the high-run record competitors, and really show us something!

Thanks for the notice. Good luck Jayson and crew.

I will definitely be watching as I am able. Thank you so much for putting this together.

Watching players at this level is fun AND very educational as I learn from watching strategy, stance and stroke. Hope he blows the lid off of it.

Also, I wish you folks would sell the cool Jersy shirts with "Shaw" on the back instead of plain! I would have already bought one of the blue ones!

Then don’t watch it.

problem solved

Do you NOT think an additional record from Jayson devalues his achievement, and thus each successive one as well?

It does.

Now, if Jayson's record was broken by another player and Jayson wanted to take it back....that story would be worth at least 287$.

They have access to plenty of diamonds.

They are available. Go to the legends of pocket billiard facebook page.

It does.
I look at that issue from a different (admittedly totally subjective) perspective:

-- "Godfather II" didn't devalue the excellence and worth of "Godfather I". Both films quite deservedly won multiple awards, huge audiences and jillions of network-evergreen ($$$$$$) TV replays for decades.

-- Historic world championship boxing matches performed by the same fighter and captured on film don't devalue each other at all (for me).

These superficially seem like apples-to-oranges comparisons (great films to 14.1 mega-runs, to great boxers), but the historic, great achievements cited are all entertaining, instructive, suspenseful, memorable, and re-watchable as they unfold for us -- if (and only if) -- you're a fan of any of these.

And so it is with aficionado watchers of ultra-talented players establishing and breaking 14.1 mega-run records. The navigation of every new rack is a series of new situations requiring solutions that are optimal and mysteriously instinctive to Jayson. Optimal enough to make the process look ridiculously easy and so enviably admirable.
