Get a Joe Porter talc dispenser…….very small & compact and dispenses a small amount of talc
that can be precisely applied between the index finger & middle finger/thumb for a closed bridge
& between the index finger & thumb web for an open bridge. It’s not messy & easily dispenses talc.
For sweaty hands, just use a terry cloth towel to keep them dry & use the Joe Porper talc dispenser.
 
My cue wears a skirt. A pocket cut from shorts in the rag bin. Cut a slot in the bottom just big enough to slide the shaft in. Then moved it down to the joint and used the skills Grandma taught me with a needle and thread to make the opening tight at that point. The skirt is about 4" and giving a smooth shaft slide along with option to use open bridge but pinch the underside to give the effect of the front grip on a tactical weapon.

Howdy All;

I keep my hands clean either using soap & water or alcohol based hand cleaner. I prefer the hand
cleaner as I don't have to keep going to the Men's room. Can just rub a small drop or 2 on and it
basically dries the oils/sweat/etc. and allows a smooth stroke. Works for me, YMMV.

I like to keep a damp hand towel and a dry one with me if I'm playing when it matters.
Clean my hands after my turn at the table with damp one and then dry with the other one. Washing chalk residue off like this helps a lot. Also keeps the shaft cleaner. Can use dry one on shaft, if needed too.

I call this one the Working Man's sports bra. A finger off the work glove. Sporty and a little more stealth.
The original back in the mid 80s was the finger from a silk glove liner from the military surplus store.

Hope they don't try to make a rule. You know like when Jump cues caught on.?
Beyond limit ing length and girth, possibly how many ensamble pieces you can carry in the bag.(golf bag not a Purse)
So someone want to head my marketing department?😉🤪
 
Well the work glove finger will be the practice attire. Save the skirt for the big events. Better get it cleaned and maybe a ruffle..... with little poodle embroidery.
Hey, they make big money doing it to cues.🤷
