Which truth? That you are sucked up with a cuemaker? I mean, it's a shame that you are a shill, but I won't lose sleep over itDid the truth hurt you
Would you like to play some and see if I can run out. We already know that you can’t by the way you post.No kidding .... the industry is so concentrated you have to find a way to stand out .... Creating a story to bait people and feed them a cue to push sales is just something that needs to be done. Same with this Taom Chalk ... sure it is clean nobody can argue that, but i have better things to do with $25 when Master works perfectly fine.
The thing is people cant even run a rack of nine ball consistent and go out chasing these cues that in reality wont make them perform any better (on average they still cant run balls after buying the cue). Marketers, They plant these seeds in peoples minds telling them a story about tapers and low deflection shit to convince them to buy the product. The new cue isnt the answer .... Time and hard work is .... something most people cant devote to.
Lol. Just telling the truth here. A shame you can’t handle it.Which truth? That you are sucked up with a cuemaker? I mean, it's a shame that you are a shill, but I won't lose sleep over it
Wtf are you talking about ... What makes lambros so much better than any other cue maker... Tascarealla .. tonkin .. Cohen ... Ect and so on...I’d rather do the hard work with the right technology though.
Wtf are you talking about. I never said he was better.Wtf are you talking about ... What makes lambros so much better than any other cue maker... Tascarealla .. tonkin .. Cohen ... Ect and so on...
Good. Cause you’ve never once used a custom cue and shouldn’t have commented in this thread to begin with.Omg ..all I can say is ignore ...
Btw, cues have evolved in time . Two-piece cues to have really fat bottom and very steep angle .
That's why so many of them can still be modified , re-tapered and used today .
1.300" or larger was common then. Problem with them was they were just too fat . They made them heavy because the table cloths then were really slow .
Then .840" joint with 1.275" or thinner bottom became common . Then 1.250 bottom became more common .
DPK then came up with his parabolic taper . Where the joint size is pretty small, but the middle of the butt is quite fat and the bottom still relatively thin.
Many have come up with dual or compound taper butts the last few decades .
Factory cues are pretty much just have single angle and mostly thin butts . It's easier to make them that way .
They just add weight as needed .
There's actually a test one can do to see if their cue is whippy ( and I'll argue it loses power ) or stiff by joining and tapping cue with the opposite hand .
He does a handle that is the same diameter the entire length, the rest of the butt is taperedI think Barioni cues makes butts that are just one width.
Never tried one of his cues, always wanted to though.
yes it can ... but all im saying .... Mosconi ran >500 balls in the 50s .... most people cant run 60 now with any available technology ... the focus is in the wrong place. people are chasing "Technological advances" .... when they need to fix themselves
this tells me technology isnt a problem
That is what i am saying .... its the lack of skill people have (time at the table and experience) ... not a special cue that is needed .. if you can play pool you can pick up damn near anything and adjust to it after a few games to play reasonably well.Mosconi’s skill ran balls, not his Cue.
In order to gain from technology you got to be good with basic equipment.
No skill will still be no skill with best equipment.
Probably about the #1 most important thing on a cue is a good tip … a house cue with a good tip can be as good as a custom cue in regards of moving the cue ball around (maybe not as easily) but reasonably well. i see a few guys that can play with damn near anything at the local pool hall. even break cues are a bit silly in an obnoxious way. A house cue will send a cue ball into a pack just fine. people do it all the time. the only reason i have a break cue is because of the ability to break it down to a jump cue (shorter cue is just easier for jumping). other than that i only screw together the break cue when i need to jump …. then i will use it for breaking.
Probably the best thing about having a break cue is convenience of not having to find a suitable house cue.
He made them with a straight handle .I think Barioni cues makes butts that are just one width.
Never tried one of his cues, always wanted to though.
They got a knob at the back and corked shafts. He made them with a straight handle .
Sorry, it's stupid .
absolutely notDoes anyone believe in Barioni shaft tuning?
