Matchroom Pool is excited to announce a new three-year partnership with Pool’s hottest cuemaker – Cuetec. Beginning with the 2022 Mosconi Cup, Cuetec will become the official Cue, Case, and Rest partner of the world’s most prestigious, and watched pool events.

The new partnership will bring a shared vision to revolutionize pool, with a focus on producing the best competitions and events for Nineball’s rapidly growing fan base and the talented professional players who are at the core of every Nineball event.

An open and candid dialogue between the two companies indicated a clear alignment of goals and values, including a shared vision to keep Nineball on its rapid ascendancy while ensuring trust and integrity were at the heart of the partnership. This was underlined by Cuetec’s commitment to the first-ever SVB Junior Open earlier this year, allowing Matchroom to get Junior Events off the ground for the first time and helping begin the work required to inspire and create the next generation of champions.

The 2022 Mosconi Cup, underway at Bally’s Las Vegas from November 30th to December 3rd will be the first event to feature the new Cuetec Rest, as pool’s biggest rivalry takes place on American shores for the first time since 2019. All eyes will be on who will claim the first-ever Cuetec MVP Award, following the four sweltering days of action between Team USA and Team Europe.

The Cuetec partnership will get fully underway in 2023, with the World Pool Championship, World Pool Masters, World Cup of Pool, UK Open, European Open, US Open, and Premier League Pool.

The spot shot shootout is not from Matchroom, it's from the Predator events.

And after watching the matches in person in Ohio I have to say I am more of a fan of it than I was. It's not as bad as it seems and adds more pressure to the match. I think I would still like a single race to 9 or 11 or something higher, but the two races to 4 and the shootout generates quite a bit of excitement, even among the pros that were watching the shootouts. The Euro guys were gathered around watching their shootouts and hoping for the win for their side.

The ball color changes, well, I don't think there is anyone outside of Matchroom that really likes that idea or would have thought of the change, so not much to say there hehe. At best people don't care, but many don't like it. I have not heard one person say "wow, black instead of white and swapping the 4 and 5 colors was a great idea, we should have done this decades ago" LOL.

Fixed that glaring oversight for you. Caroms are great games but like 14.1 ain't going to garner positive reactions.

Viewers love 3c and it is far more visually appealing than schnooker.

Carom players have the biggest balls.
 
I guess an audience of 2 people could be referred to as viewers. March those squeaky shoes out to your bike and go for a ride it might clear your noggin.
 
Why bring in "participation trophies" to this discussion? There are no participation trophies in the Cuetec/Matchroom series or pro pool in general. Not to mention that the lion's share of moaning about participation trophies comes from the boomer generation that invented the concept so they could give prizes to their own mediocre kids.

participation trophies was a joke.
I'm a boomer and old school and think participation trophies are stupid,just a way to make losers feel good and not learn how to win.
