What was Efren playing here?

Shot at 37 seconds (link should take you right there). Shooting the 5 in the side, was he trying to bump the 7 to hang in the corner and be straight on the 6 after the bump? That's my thought. What do you guys think?

*edit, but if he was trying that, he seemed off by a mile as he'd want to hit the 6 full in that case. IDK what he was playing.

Draw about 10" down the tangent line but he missed the cut angle. So cueball slides ahead and collision induced english grabs at the cushion

I think the OP meant bump the 7 (on the right rail) and be on the 6. I think it is more likely that Efren didn't want the cue ball to go so far to leave a larger angle on the 6 to come back to the 7 with right draw.

Yes, I got my numbers mixed up, I edited first post.

I think I'm with you, he was trying to stop before the 7 to leave a sharper angle on the 6, and come back on the 7 with low right. He had such a perfect angle on the 5 and so close to it, if he was trying to hit the 7, boy was he off a mile. And if he was trying to go to the end rail with the CB, then the position from the 6 to the 7 seems needlessly more complex.

Man, I don't like this one either:)

If he was hitting this way, his angle into the long rail was wrong. If he stopped a couple inches before the 7, his angle on the 6 would have been good, but he would have been very close to the rail with the CB, and had a much more difficult time drawing back one rail on the 7.

None of the choices make sense to me. I wish we could ask him:)

I think he was trying to bump the 6-ball
