Practice practice practice

Whew fingers break. Well end of set break. Right prevailed, 10-6 and wipe the smirk off of Lefty. Spotted a Unicorn but just a sighting. 2 rails in the side. Oh so close.😉

An epithany: The pad of my hands at the ring finger is where I get the largest calous or blister.😉

The dark spot on the right is the result of my jack hammer therapy. The collateral benefit is that was just revealed as my Shot Caller. When I can "feel it" there...."take the shot".

The power of the review.

First success by Lefty .
Finger warming and watching Mark Allen and Judd in the finals.

I can't help but pull for Mark as his total game is pretty much what I strive towards. His pace suits me fine. I Will never forget, "I can't beat your SLOW game!" 🤷

Story Alert: Well first, I call this therapy exercise, The Bobsled. Now the story.
My first gig as pilot was on a corrugated roof sheet, 2 feet wide and 8 feet long of galvanized steel. We had good snow and a great hill that could get good speed. If you could navigate the Christmas tree size firs. I must have been 8?. Anyway I was youngest and smallest of our 4 man bobsled crew. The other 3 we're 5 years older and sat in progress of size from me to the largest as anchor.
With me in front at the crease created when we curled it back . Leaving 6 feet ample seating. And oh yeah a giutine like edge points our way. I steered us through the course to the last sappling that blocked our project of reaching the field below( at significant speed). Well we did make the bottom of the grade. Deposited in reverse order with me 5 feet beyond the tree and the other 3 in approximate 2-3 foot steps, with largest in front just short of the barbed wire fence that would have greeted us.

Better a solid break with live results then piloting past and finding a guillotine.

The post match interview feature Mark description of nervous as shaking like a dog shitting. The Interview guy went imediatly to apologize. I thought, "well he did leave of the peach pits" that kind of cleans it up a little, Right?

Mom Jan 23, Cold morning. Emphasis the importance of cold start. Slow. Taking the time to examine and analyze each step.
Since Attention is right in front of the heater...... Stretch and flex!! While I analyze my position and the delivery of the cue. Imagine.....the Big Eye.
Starting with what I want the object ball to do, Along with what I want the cue ball to do. Taking time to do the calasthenic / stretch at each step. My stance should be The Horse. Power, lightning strikes go from the ground up first. So my fight or flight program begins with acute awareness of my balance. Center of me. The placement of the tri-pod of foot-foot-bridge and my center. When the spring gets wound up real tight.... I need a strong stable foundation.

Perhaps the most Massive shot that Judd execute in the contest, he spent 2 minutes study of situation. Then did the well......Butch and Sundance....Pow Splat. The shot was so extreme, well I can't remember the comments even considering the shot.
The Commitment to the program must be extreme and I speculation that is what pulled Mark through. My signal got so bad that I didn't get to see more than time stamps in the decider.

My observations tell me that cue ball at strike yields more precise cue ball control. Object ball at strike can yield incredible accurate strike on object ball but less control of cue ball after collision with object ball. Small difference but significant.

My cue ball has a G spot. It's the size of a pea and in the center. The gentle massage of the gee spot can produce satisfying results.

Dive through the hole. My life could depend on it.😉 McGorty description of the feeling of the flight Path being blocked. Can't run.... better be able to Fight.
The British call it Bottle. Our coach called it Intestinal fortitude. We called it heart or balls 🤷
My recollection of the situation s🤷 is I am not pulling the trigger until I am sure. No room for even the slightest doubt. Heck Judd study example. Applies to every step along the way. Have watched Ronnie get back up and re evaluate. At each step I just have to be sure that it's "my best" Guess?🤷
And oh yeah, I call it Survival 🤷

Ok I have been avoiding the top ick. Stephen Hendry teaches it. That Damn Stuff.
My rail first practice is my choice for development of feel for off center strike. Grady Mathews Gem was picking spots on rail and hit the pocket. I calculate the pocket to be a smaller target than a ball.🤷

Tuesday 1-24-23:
Flavor of the day is The Slow Mo.
IMG_20230124_081021150.jpg
Lefty negotiate a bonus point for either ball finished in a hole on the Alien rack template. Then the Right leaves this hanger. Grrrr so close.🤷😉😁

Ok 1 point for the hit plus1 point for on the paper. Two bonus points for either wing hole and 3 bonus points for in the rear hole.
IMG_20230124_084309783.jpg
This leads to high scores and quick race to 10. Oh yeah I did upload a quick video of the Slow Mo Kick

Oh the cold starting. My '56 Ford pickup. The manual choke. Hmmmm practice the Choke Them Out and learn from my own failure s. Any landing you can walk away from....is a good one.
Sooooooo, get the speed right.., Slow Roll Target practice is the morning flavor. Finish on the Alien for points. Could be interesting.🤪

Lefty took the pep talk to heart 😉
IMG_20230125_075145761.jpg
Now petitioning the rules committee to add proximity to the rail as a double. Well, it's a Natural.🤷
Lost or perhaps edited middle post that spoke to the duration of attempting.

Whew, it took negotiations skills to revise the rules. Over the alien for 1 and on it for 2. With bonus points for funny results. To get to 8-8 going to 10. Lefty gets to ten and right needs a funny face point to get 9 and continue......No wait funny face awards point with no continue. Lefty prevail s 10-9.
