As was his blast-the-balls with loss of frame.

Related to which, I wonder if a player is allowed to ask the referee whether any ball on is full-ball-visible. I think a referee should be required to say prior to the player shooting the first in a sequence of possibly three shots that might lose them the frame.

Ronnie knows better, but for the reading audience if you look closely he could not hit the red full ball, there was another red covering the red in question. However, reds cannot be called snookered behind other reds, hence Ronnie was judged to be able to hit a red "full ball".
He won in the end, so water under the bridge!

There was me thinking Neil Robertson must be worth a bet after being floored with flu since before Christmas but the shock 4-0 loss to Dominic Dale means he's out of tournaments and not a lot of snooker to play before the Worlds .
