Las Vegas Open 10-ball

If the 7' are built that way , I wonder if the 9' are too?
No idea. If I was in the market for a 7' table, this would be a hard pass for me especially at the price point.

Plywood used in certain aspects of construction can be superior to that of lumber. Diamond uses plywood in their construction!
I agree that plywood can be superior in certain ways, especially stability with temperature/humidity changes.

Diamond uses plywood in the construction of the box on Pro-Am and under the slate in their leveling system but not in the rails.

All the top American players are soft and being cry babies and it shows in their games at the event. SVB clearly has no interest. He is visibly frustrated with the breaking and doesn't like how the two balls behind the one do not go into the side pocket breaking from the middle, because of the slick equipment. Meanwhile, all the rest of the players adapt and deal with it. It's an event with a big purse and they don't care to support it. Only reason they are playing is because it is at the same event and same equipment as the World 10 ball coming up after this event.
Ding-ding-ding! We have a winner!
SVB HATES the Predator Pro Series event-- skips most of them.
I hate them too, and ALL Predator equipment except their ld shafts, which I use.
Predator is trying TOO HARD to slap their name on everything, and it's biting them in the ass.

I will say the Predator 7' tables most likely aren't built for the long haul with plywood rails.
What are they calling 'plywood'? Diamond rails are technically 'plywood' but are stronger than any GC rail ever made. I thought SAM tables had metal rails with cushion bonded to it. That's how the original KimSteel tables were built. I just assumed that when SAM took over production they used metal rails too.

six of the best playing against each other in L32:

gorst vs big ko
svb vs kaci
chang vs albin

unfortunately they're starting the same time, 11:00. gorst and svb matches on tv tables

Good grief that lineup is a murderers row of pool.
If I were able, I'd like to watch every match-up there.

I sure wish old glory was in front of Fedor's name.
It's weird that politics is worming its way into pool the way it is.

Thanks for posting the matches.

just watched tyler vs alex, L64 format is a little better than the 2 set format. also the interviews/content between matches adds a little. they are improving their product. tyler won btw
Did you see Tyler ADJUST his break after the first set?
I think I have the right match -I watched a few.
In any event, once he (or whoever I watched) moved his CB placement and speed, he was able to make the 1b and get a good spread.
Sadly, I am too slow at adjusting to equipment.
It is entirely possible I just use that as an excuse for my bad play.

They don't have the Mullet officiating do they?

tbh i think leyman is racking better than the heavy dude

i'm not sure but i think all tables are streamed on kozoom, but not free this time. otherwise i'd probably watch chang vs albin. chang is looking brutal this event, lumbering around the table making everything

I think good quality plywood is less app to warp and is probably stiffer than a hardwood. Particle board or plywood with a bunch of voids are different stories
