Billiard as a sport is an introduction to America. What billiard writers present to an international audience can be improved.

The rich history of billiards is not discussed
enough in favor of the popular players on tour. Billiards is a cultural revolution for some players. And for others its a descent into the backward traditions of other countries.

The Harriman Academy partnered with High Run Society will be a platform for all opinions to have representation.

Here is an idea for you, that's both (almost) current and actually interesting: Talk about the World Championships in Quatar in a human rights perspective. You could contrast their human rights record with the American one that you hold in such contempt.

In other sports there are clear conversations to have between players and fans.

Pool is one of the rare sports that has a lot of participation from a diverse field of people speaking different languages.

If your interested in meeting the Harriman Academy Committee on Billiard Cultural Immersion Activities (BCIA), then submit a 500 word article or less about social norms that exist only because of pool tournaments.

Calcutta: a player auction before a tournament where betting spectators bid on players they think will do well. The winning bidders get a percentage of the betting pool (based on the tournament payout structure) if their players places. Purchased players usually have the option to buy half of the purchase amount to share the Calcutta winnings if they place.


Do you have a different definition? That is a problem in billiard language, no standardization of certain terms. There is a proposal to standardize it up at the next Global Billiard Room Convention.

What is the Global Billiard Room Convention..? Are you guys like WHO or the CDC and just spew stuff out and really have 0 idea what's going on ..?
And will Biden be signing a bill to make sure your ideas are enforced properly..?
