Is the 3 Cushion game picking up like the pool game is?

Didn’t see that one. Will have to look for the replay. Watching Merckx now.
What happened to the top player? I forgot his name, I think he won the McCreary championship, and then a couple years later got into some federation boycott drama. Is he still playing?

Sayginer. Lost yesterday in round of 32 (to German, martin Horn?).

I think Merckx won the McCreery right? Are you thinking of Caudron? Caudron is great but jumped to the PBA in Korea and picked up the UMB ban.

Yes, Caudron is who I was thinking. So he still doesn't compete internationally with the 3C "tour"?

I love watching 3C, such a great game. Wish I had more time to head to Carom Cafe in Queens,NY to play but I can't. I just wish I knew what the differences between each billiard discipline and more of the rules of 3C.

I've always been of the opinion that 14.1 and 3C would make for a great tournament together. 14.1 on one side and 3C on the other.

Would be a long ass tournament

This year I started playing bank carom on a pool table. Must hit a rail first and then carom two balls. Super useful and fun. Try it as an alternative to 3C.

Improves your kick confidence tremendously especially for 1p.

I think they tried it at the world championships in Chicago one year in the ‘50’s. There was an account of it in McGoorty and I think I saw something about it elsewhere. Kind of amazing for people to see Hoppe and Mosconi at the same time.

The entry point to billiards is not putting two object balls next to each other with your hand and making a carom.
Well technically it will start with three balls, a flat surface, and a stick of some sort but you're the only one counting.

You seem to not have anything valid to say on the matter you know nothing about and fall back on useless insults that only further show how much you don't know
Make more sense now?
You are the one on insults. You have already equated developing interest at the ground level to ignorance. That's retarded.

Beginner guy will likely have an easier time with the dead canon from across the table than pocketing a ball from across the table. Simple margins of error. No contrived parameters.
What's a dead cannon?
You do realize the cue ball has to contact the other two balls, not push one object ball into the other, wait you probably did think that .....

Put the balls 2 feet apart on a billiard table and, alternatively set up a straight-in pool shot 2 feet from the pocket. I can almost guarantee the beginner would make the latter shot far more frequently than the former.
