I know what you're trying to do, you're thinking you can get me all pissed off again, and hopefully get me banned from AZB again, only, you have no idea what I'm up to this time. Now, instead of getting pissed of at you unruly kids sitting at the back of the class, being the classroom clowns that you are, I've decided to move YOU and your CHAIR to the front of the class, so EVERYONE can see you for who you really are, and start testing YOUR level of intelligence, in FRONT of the whole class!!! You want to acknowledge like you're smarter than the teacher, nows your chance!!

Answer the questions I've asked you, or admit you're just the classroom clown!
 
I have an idea, maybe I should start a new thread titled, "RKC vs DeeDeeCues, who knows more about pool tables" and only you and I can post in the thread. Then we can get all the attention you're heart desires right out there in front of God and everyone else! I mean think about it, you could go down in history as the clown that took down the RKC!!

Should I start a new thread just for you and me?

I never claimed to know more about tables than you. I simply point out your garbage elitist attitude and your belittling of people. Combine that with your cryptic bs replies that don't actually give any information, I just can't figure out how anyone respects you.

Just go ahead and figure that I took three years of engineering calculus, statics, dynamics, material properties, two years of physics... Really everything to have graduated as a mechanical engineer. I don't think this forum is a good fit for you, because it seams like you don't have anything intelligent to contribute. You're just consumed with trying to attack me!

Every post you've made in this thread has been directed at me, and THAT right there's says a lot about your intentions, because you have NOTHING else to contribute. When I ask you intelligent questions, you just sidetrack answering them, again, not contributing ANYTHING worthwhile.

Why is that? No one here asked you to post anything, so why are you even interested in this thread?

Don't limit yourself to Starrett. I know this may sound like sacrilege since Starrett has a religious following, but I am extremely happy with the made in England Moore and Wright ELM model, which has a 300 mm base, almost always sells with a case, and is very easy to read and calibrate.. Also goes to 0.3 mm/m, which is a little better than the Starrett 98. They sell for about 250 pounds new in England, but you often see them on eBay for about $100 to $125. Another top brand is EDA, a French company that makes the levels for Swiss Precision Instruments. Again, easy to read, easy to calibrate, and usually in much better condition for the price than some of the old Starretts.
 
There is absolutely no need for high dollar levels used for precision machining work.

This (made in China) level for less then $100 is far more accurate then you need for pool table work. Accurate to two ten thousands of an inch (.0002) every 10 inches. Thats .002 over a 9 foot span.

It is a little more difficult to calibrate then others, but I haven't had to do it yet.
