A pedagogical approach to billiard instruction has emphasized the importance of knowing and practicing set patterns.

An innovative approach to billiard instruction is exploration. This innovative approach is a framework to begin thinking about the mental processes during a pool match when you are not playing.

5 psychology objectives to use in the pool hall. If you have a mental function, some players like to rest others like to let it analyze.
If you like to analyze what is happening during a match consider:

Assess a player's tolerance level (when do they break form).
Describe the characteristics of your opponent when given an easy leave. (measure for reaction time: slow or fast)
Describe the characteristics of your opponent when given an tough leave. (measure for reaction time: slow or fast)
Identify if the opponent has trigger habit or trigger reaction. (how fast do they chalk, do they look where they put the chalk down, do they wipe the shaft)
Identify if your opponent is playing below their skill level.

People watching at a pool room is common habit.
Use that free time to be a sociologist or statistician and create a model of the player action.

Usually I just go to the poolroom and see if there's anyone there that might be a good match and ask them to play for a little something something. I had no idea that it was so complicated. I apologize for being so ignorant.

There are plenty of game rooms that have pool tables.

I agree that introducing billiards happens at home.

Those conversations introducing billiards can go very differently.

What are the good different ways?
 
I do that when I read the forums. When I observe over-analysis, over-complication, and the use of 300 words where 50 would suffice I know I'm observing someone who will do anything to avoid actually going out and accomplishing something

In other sports when agents are sent to determine a potential athlete's recruitment, an evaluation is done.

I am suggesting new evaluations.

If you're trying to reach the kids, then you definitely enlisted the right guy for your academy!
 
I feel that if we start to teach children to gamble at a young age then there is a good chance they might latch onto pool and cultivate that skill as they grow up.

It is already starting to happen with children's toys and video games. Some toys now come in "blind bags"... so collecting them all is up to chance as you don't know what you are going to get until you open it. Similar in videogames which contain microtransactions for loot boxes... pay for a loot box which might contain an item or cosmetic you want to use in game...

With that being said, I think we should discourage children from "gambling" that way (toys and video games with no monetary benefit) and start encouraging them to gamble with real money. This way they can see an immediate return that can either fund further gambling or something they may want to purchase (like some new sneakers or phone). Also, if they see an immediate loss it can be seen as an educational tool kinda like falling off a bike. Learn to correct the mistake so you don't lose like that again or to just get better. It can be used to enforce practice and cultivating a skill and putting in "hard work" to develop something.

So yeah, encouraging gambling in youth so they learn the value of "money won is twice as sweet as money earned"...

Opening up adult places such as bars and pool halls to children will help the children work on these skills.the sooner they start the better they'll be at both pool and gambling.

Promoting activism to support women has never happened in billiards. The WPBA was formed because the lack of support. Integration between the women and men never happened.

If women designed rules for men to compete with them what would they be.

I am promoting activism for women. Women should have public and tangible support.

Emily Frazer has done so much for pros. The problem is men and the male culture. This toxicity would scare most people away.

I post because a cultural change in the billiards world is needed. Billiards is a global sport, how women are treated can have a positive impact or a negative impact. It depends on the culture of the pros.

The next generation of pool players includes middle aged and senior citizens that have never played pool.

The disposable income for middle and late age adults will have better returns on investment than developing youth interest.

My interest in youth is to organize the billiard sport at the NJCAA level. There is not enough infrastructure to grow the sport at the NJCAA level because there are not enough billiard players in the existing college environment.

If there was infrastructure I would not have to start planning from ground zero.

At the college level should billiards be played as a men only sport and a women only sport? Or as a mixed gender sport?

The lack of existing pool structures to support my vision is why I have to do so much work.

Colleges cant just sign up for Predator
or Matchroom events and receive funding, when the sport is not officially recognized.

Obviously you have not been paying attention to sports and gender, for example there is that "female" swimmer who has a penis and competes against females because he "identifies" as a female when he dons a swimsuit, that or he just is not competitive in the men's ranks and is looking for "softer" competition. Before you worry about female activism you will have to get people to understand what defines a woman, our government cant even do that, and you will have to teach people to look in their pants to find out which gender they belong to, there seems to be3 some confusion in this department.
